The question implies that Baptists are not Christian, does it not?

In terms of set theory, I think it would be more accurate to say all Baptists are Christian, but not all Christians are Baptist.

 Hello there, since I'm a Baptist I can tell you what we believe. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that accepting Him as our Saviour is the only way to get to Heaven. Works are not involved. We believe in eternal security...once saved - always saved. Sad to say - not ALL Baptist people may believe the was I do anymore.....I do not believe in women being a preacher or a deacon (elder) of a church.

My sister was involved in a Christian church for a while. I can only remember one thing about it.....and that was she was made a deacon in it.

Baptist churches also believe in baptism by immersion. This doesn't save you, it is a step of obedience to Jesus and also a door to church membership.

Hope this helps you.

There isn't a difference.

Unless you're referring to the "Christian Church" which is part of the Restoration Movement. They are not all part of the same denomination, but a lot are part of Disciples of Christ and others are independant.

If this is what you mean, then the differences are just denominational and doctrinal differences. Both are "Chrsitian". But, don't ask me to describe the beliefs of Baptists. Can't do it. There almosty as many "Baptist" denominations as there are Protestant ones all together :-) ! Okay, not that many, but a lot!

God Bless
