ABC anyone?

Just wondering who here belongs to the American Baptist Church? And what do u think about churches leaving the ABC b/c they are letting homosexual pastors preach? I've been stuggling with this issue for quite sometime and wanted different opinions. Thanks.

I go to an ABC-I knew it was a liberal baptist denom when I started going but the pastor was a good guy (since retired). (Sorry, but if women are ordained and women are allowed as elder/deacons and if it's part of the NCC it falls into the liberal category IMHO).

Absolutely no mention of this exodus where I go. I first heard about it here at CF. Read about it on the Christianity Today web site (article in the Nov issue I think).

There is a small but vocal forum of ABC folks-pastors included-that are against what is happening and are looking for reform or split.
