Perhaps no other film out today have I found more moving than the account given in this movie and perhaps no other film that I have seen as of late has more deeply brought home the true filth of sin and the need for a savior for mankind.
I am greatful for salvation and I am greatful for the desire and imperative to share our faith to the ends of the earth, even the worst parts. What terribly easy lives we have, here in the states.
If you haven't seen it, I highly reccomend it.

I agree, I loved this movie! This and "Sometimes in April" were both compelling. But "Hotel Rwanda" has to be one of the best movies I have seen in years. The sad thing about it all is truly; most did not know what was actually happening over there at the time. Complete genocide. I also found it refreshing the faith this man had in making a difference. Just a wonderful movie.

The one special feature on the DVD is a short 15 minute return to Rwanda with the main Character of this movie and his wife. They goto a village memorial where 45k were murdered in one town alone and only 4 of its original inhabitants survived. In the memorial are bones of people, and many children showing their skulls ripped open by the machete, and blood soiled clothing of the innocents spread out for all to see and remember. It was pretty sad.

It is a very sobering movie. Could something like that happen here...

I did not see this. I rented it at the local store, but I do not remember this offered on that DVD.
Menno -actually a friend of mine recently led me to information regarding Margaret Sanger (Planned Parenthood) and the Nazi influence. The information he uncovered with his research was, shall I say, interesting. I am always leery of "conspiracy theory" however what I have read on these connections - I believe it has or does happen here. The links to different organizations etc is at the very least uncanny and suspicious, of course not as blatantly as this. This movie brought me to tears – mostly because of my ignorance that it was even going on at the time. I had no idea what the subject of this movie was until I watched it. Then researched it. A very sad time, and I believe a black eye for us. But that is just my humble opinion. I guess that is why I am not so sure I am against the war in Iraq. This thing was to a degree going on there. Now if this has turned something solely political is anyone’s guess, but initially, I do believe that this sort of thing has stopped. That is the sad thing, if we were walking in somewhere to stop this sort of nightmare, I am all for it. But it is all the other garbage that drags on tail that bothers me.

I would love to see that movie.
Though sad but it is a true story.
About how someone will step in the crossfire and make a difference in the lives of others.
As well as saving people's lives.

You didn't hear about it 1994? I was a bit too young to care about the news then.
