Poll Thread- Changing the current mini-skirts to something a bit longer.

if u go to the Armor of God Q/bug reports forum, i have a thread there that talks about the mini-skirts being indecent, because they are too short. Whether u like them or not, do u think they should be made a bit longer just so that this site doesnt give off an appearance of evil at all? And by that i mean- making it so that we dont look like we accept worldly standards and immoral dress. Vote what u would like. If we get enough votes that the mini's should at least be longer so they dont look so short, maybe the admins/armory designers will change them. ;)

i like skirts, but the ones on here come either way below the knee, or way above the knee, nothing really in-between. it would be a great addition to the skirts!!

balugon if you read your thread from before, you are very very very much in the minority. people have stated their reasons. you're welcome to set up polls like this but this one is VERY biased and will raise people's hackles, and i doubt you'll get the result you want.

why do u girls insists on wearing the shortest skirts possible?? does the thought that it might cause a brother to stumble even cross your minds?? the point here is not to draw the line at how short a skirt can be and then get as close to that line as possible, the point is to stay as far away from that line as possible. if you don't want to cause a fellow christian to sin (which as far as i know is a sin itself) then just wear pants or at least a skirt below or at the knees.

actually its not a democracy. You can have your opinion, but in the end Erwin and staff have final say.

I couldn't care less about someone posting a poll, but I do care when people try to force their own point of view/morals/values on other people. That is legalism pure and simple. putting aside the fact that this doesn't even address what qualifies as modest clothing (some cultures women walk around topless and no one sees that as immodest), That is addressing real live women. Do you have any verses on how we are to dress up our dolls?

i only came asking that if people thought it indecent that they would vote to change it. that was my intentions. Any pushiness wasnt about the whole issue, it would have been directed toward those who were either making sport of me, or who i felt were personally aiming their shots at me, intead of just what they thought about the issue. As attacking me for my beliefs is not necessary, and i know NOW most girls on here who wear the mini-skirts dont wear them IRL, but i didnt before, besides, some still do. So its not like i will know the difference. And whats to say i wouldnt have a tiger or blue hair? there are quite a few people who do, but that is besides the point. As i said, i dont expect to see people in banana suits, or actually have tigers or stuff, but some things, like mini's, are very possible. And Fire_proof, u just go ahead and do what u want. Im not ur judge.

And by the way, if i could change that last choice in the poll to - "No. And i dress like this in real life." I would, as that would make it more fair. As the "What does it matter?" makes people sound a bit prideful or something, and isnt necessary to be in the poll. I have no need to provide any Biblical evidence. I personally couldn't care less if some one didn't clothe their dolls. I see little kids walking around with dolls that they haven't clothed occasionally and I don't have a problem with that either.

Since the two of you aer saying it is wrong to clothe our dolls in a certain way the onus lies on you to show us why it is wrong. You haven't substantiated your claim yet.

What does it matter? They are not human or anatomically correct. These characters are still-life. They do not bend or move. Therefore, the length of the skirt is not an issue. The problems in real life that exist with skirts that are too short don't exist because our characters are static rather than dynamic; they don't move.

The reason we are to dress modest is to not cause man to sin. Our cf characters will not cause someone to sin. This thread is just silly.

And i already gave u one biblical quote- 1 Timothy 2:9 "I also want women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or expensive clothes,". I even put in the rest of the actual verse this time, because i have been told that is how prostitutes dressed back in their day, and that is why the author was writing that they shouldnt dress like that. I know times have changed, but we still have standards.

There ya go. And what if some guys did have a problem with sexual thoughts being brought up (i dont think any would be about a doll, but seeing a scantily dressed doll might make him think of other images), i dont see why u girls are making such a big deal over it. Especially, because many of u might never be caught dead in a mini in public, as u know its indecent. Im just saying how i feel. U guys are acting as if im almost Suddam or something, trying to take over CF. I just stated an opinion and asked if people also had the same view as me, to vote to have them made a little longer, so no one should have problems with it. Its not like i was saying "This must be done, or ill do something nasty!" It was just a request.

And for anyone who says- well what about a guy who is tempted when he sees an ankle or a collar bone? I say, yes, there are points where a guy has to own up to his own sexual desire issues. buts its a MINI, its not like im obsessing over a full-length dress. Most people find mini's to be indecent in public (most christians anyway, or they should, as no one wants to see people's underwear), so like i said, i just didnt know why u guys wanted them on here, or allowed them on here. thats all. But hey, if they are allowed, its not my site, i just wanted to see if anyone else thought they could be made a little more decent. (and im not even obsessing over it.
