I went to a service this evening at a parish where the feast of All Saints Day was transfered to the weekend services. Anyhow, I thought the lectionary readings were excellently chosen. For anyone else didn't have a chance to go to a service on All Saints Day and who's parish is not transferring the feast to this weekend, I'd highly recommend taking pulling out your Book of Common Prayer and reading through the bible selections for All Saints Day (Or looking them up online). It's kind of a "theology of sainthood in three easy bible passages" type of deal -- very concise, but very illuminating. :)

We'll be celebrating All Saints tomorrow...

You're right, the readings are really good.

I'm looking forward to it, because it gives me a good excuse to put the censer in overdrive!! (Let's just say there'll be a literal fog around the altar tomorrow)

We had ours Tuesday night and it was awesome. Great readings.

And there's one hymn for all saints...(forgot the name) love it!!
Incense like a fog machine!!

(of course the traditional Potluck followed - came home fat and happy!!)

Enjoy tomorrow!

My priest said fridays service was a small preview of what was to come this sunday. I'm really looking forward to tommorows service, especially since I'll be getting baptised tommorow.

WOW! I don't know if you already mentioned this before, but I didn't know about it, how wonderful! You'll let us know what it was like, won't you?

All good wishes for the day :prayer:
