Hey, good for you! Now if only I could get a girlfriend. Just last Sunday after the college group met at our church, I wrote down the proof for the fundamental theorem of calculus on the whiteboard. Somebody told me that this sort of thing isn't going to help my cause very much...
(In case you wanted to hear a random story.)

Careful, once I start talking about math, I don't stop for awhile...
Anyway, the fundamental theorem of calculus provides a connection between the seemingly irrelevant processes of differentiation and integration. It says that the definite integral of a continuous function can be found by antidifferentiating the integrand. Pretty cool, huh?
Or, to put it in layman's terms, the fundamental theorem of calculus turns seemingly impossible math problems into very simple problems. Puzzles which could only be approached by the most ingenious of ancient men can be easily solved by this theorem. That's why it's so cool.

He's a physics major and wants to switch to math... so he's really cute and geeky.

And I thought I was a nerd. ;)

I thought he was going to break up with me because he was busy and said there was a lot to talk about. What he wanted is to know if I'd like to go to Toronto with him. LOL. I can't though...
