Thanks, Carmi! This chair is rather comfy.

/jenda drags over the footstool and hauls out a copy of CF rules to memorize. "Ahh..... this is the life."

Well ...................... I can't pick just one, but I could narrow it down to, maybe, one per category.

The Passion of the Christ (will always be at the top of the list)
LoTR (for best fantasy)
The Green Mile (for best drama)
Star Trek (for best sci-fi)(I know, some of them can be cheesy)
The Princess Bride (for best cultish movie)
The Notebook (for best love story)
The Sound of Music (for best musical)
Harry Potter (for best kids movies)
Liar, Liar (for best comedy)

What is your favorite part of being a moderator
Well, since I have only been a "real" mod for one day, I have to look back over the two weeks of training (amongst other stuff new mods do), and say that the lesson in humility I first encountered as I read and interacted with everyone is something I will never forget, and hope to use as a guide through my time as a moderator.

(that probably sounds really preachy, but it's how I feel)(I'm sure I will have a different answer in 3 months ^_^ )

Well, if I had to narrow it down to just one, I would have to pick a burgundy kinda color. (Though greens come in a close second. :) )

Is there one adventure you would like to do in your lifetime that you haven't done yet? If so, what is it?

A New Dawn
8th February 2006, 06:20 PM
I have always wanted to tour the Holy Land, and some of the ancient lands, like Egypt. History there is really old, not like American history, which is only a few hundred years.

I have also always wanted to do a mission. But that will have to wait a few years till kids get older, and stuff.

I have been lucky that I have done many of the things I have wanted to do in my life.

How about you? What grand adventures have you envisioned for yourself?

carmi

You would love Israel. Unless it has changed completely and utterly over the past years.

I felt at home there. Took me a while not to feel homesick. Well, until I found another country which I loved. :)

After docs had issued a diagnosis (normally grim) - yet another nurse encouraged 'patients' to
exersize their faith-in-God/Jesus , and as a result of His creating their own ability to *self  heal*, such that in fact said patients stilled conditions or dis-eases successfully. Not merely to exist, but much more in enjoying :P a happy life, healthily...
How would you, 'New dawn', respond? to another nurse devotedly helping people achieve such... *ALL for

Annie, as a nurse, I have worked with kids who are most critically ill most of my life. And I believe that God still works miracles. I believe that medicine and miracles can, and do, go hand in hand with each other. I know that so many times, those without hope often seem to fade away, even when they should be doing well. But those who exercise their faith do better. They have hope.

I've been to Cairo before and you would absolutly love egypt it's a country that is full of exiting history to explore.:)

If I was to go on a trip like that it would be to take a tour of the British Isles and all the Castles there:)

A New Dawn
15th September 2006, 02:17 PM
I have been to England a couple of times, and just love it. I was in Germany (E. & W.), and we stayed in an old castle on the Rhine that had been restored as a quaint hotel-sorta thing. That was really cool, because you got the feel of what it would have been like back then. (It was much smaller and older than, like, Neuschwanstein, for example. Probably from more around 1100-1200 AD.)

Alexander Nissi
15th September 2006, 05:07 PM
what part of england were you in? I was born actually over in Wales and totally love the country especially the castle in North umbria:)

A New Dawn
15th September 2006, 08:37 PM
I was in the southers portion, from London west to Bath, and then up through the Cotswolds. I went to a beach on the southern shore. I thought it was cold and had a sweater on, but my friends were out in shorts and sleeveless shirts. LOL.

Bath is close to Wales, and I wanted to go to Wales, because I knew Narnia was set in Wales (theoretically), but never got there.

Those are beautiful places:) I like the castle in North umbria b/c of the history. The Castle is called chilliingham and it's first owner was a medievil age "doctor"

If you could be on a tv game show, what would it be and why?

A New Dawn
5th November 2006, 02:45 AM
If I were to be on a game show, I think it would have to be Jeopardy. I used to be really good at guessing the answers to the questions (but that was back before I had kids and I really had a chance to watch TV, before they started controlling the TV).

When I was a kid, my parents controlled the TV. Now that I am a parent, my kids control the TV. I don't get to watch anything I want (except on Friday nights at 10 PM.)

Sorry, Heather, I did not see this at all.

It was nice and relaxing. :)

What is your biggest Christmas wish, Heather?

Hi . What's your favourite Christmas memory?

I love your name.

My favorite Christmas memory would be the first Christmas my daughter was old enough to rip open her presents. She had such great fun doing it, and we all got a good laugh. (She couldn't have cared less what was inside as long as she got to rip them open. ^_^ )

What about you? What do you like best about Christmas?

Hey thanks!

I think I must be totally opposite to your daughter :D. We were taught never to rip the paper so we could use it again if we needed to and to this day I feel terrible if I make the tiniest rip...it drives friends and family insane when I sit there for 5 times as long opening a present, but I still like the suspense.

What I like best about Christmas is that my whole family gets together - it's a rare occurence in my house with everyone living such busy and social lives :sorry:.

If you could sing one song beautifully n perfectly what song would it be?

A New Dawn
10th March 2007, 07:50 PM
From someone who can't carry a tune in a bucket, it would be hard to narrow it down to one, but I'll try .....................

If I could sing one song perfectly, it would be The Old Rugged Cross ..... (I think). :)

A New Dawn

We dye eggs and then we have an Easter egg hunt every year. I need to be more creative this year. Next year, my older daughter will be away at college (unless she comes home for Easter break), and so it won't be the same without her. :(

I love singing Easter hymns, but that isn't a tradition.
