I was at Baylor Homecoming over the weekend, and there was an accidental death this morning of a pastor of a local Baptist church:

Please pray for his family (a widow and three small children), and especially for the small children in the congregation that witnessed this event.
ETA: His widow's name is Jennifer, and their children names are daughter Avery and twin boys Sutton and Jude.
I do have a praise to report-there have been no student deaths since March of this year at Baylor. For those of you who do not know over the past several years we have lost too many students.
Thank You,
Diane

If you feel led to help then UBC has set up two ways to donate:
"Many of you have inquired about ways to help. Currently, there are two main ways that the family has advocated:
a) Donations to a fund that is currently being established as a memorial for Kyle. We are able to take contributions to this immediately. Please make your check payable to University Baptist Church, and on the “Memo” line note: “Kyle Lake Memorial.”
b) Donations to University Baptist Church directly, which may be made through the PayPal link at the bottom of this page or as a check to 1701 Dutton Ave., Waco, TX 76706 (all mail will be forwarded to a business PO Box that is being obtained)."

I was poking around UBC's website and found this (emphasis mine):
KYLE LAKE

Born: June 12, 1972 in Tyler, Texas

Now we can pray by name for his widow and children. It also has his picture in case anyone is wondering what he looked like.
He was a Bear, and this happened during Homecoming  :(
Lord, please watch over all members of the Baylor Family

This is just very sad. I have prayed comfort for his family and congregation. It is hard to see the plan at times, huh? We had our beloved pastor go home to Jesus 3 years ago via a car accident and it was almost as painful to our family as losing a biological family member. It is helped though by the joy of knowing they are now with Jesus. I will keep them in prayer.:prayer:

I am very sorry to hear of this terrible event, Diane. What a dreadful thing for anyone to experience at what should be the happiest of days. Words fail me when trying to express my sorrow for the family and the children.
May the Lord hold all concerned safely in the palm of his hand.
