i could give you a list of reasons, but there is no reasons but one of them for sure is not vainity, it is a form of self hatered.....i need to overcome...but i thank you for caring more then you could knw.....need to run, sick child neeed to be picked up at school , will be back to read your writings..... thanks again,

Oh dont get me wrong sister. Obviously vanity is not the case at all. The later reason givin is a major part of course. But as you know its not that simple. The human mind is an extremely complex fragile, delicate and impressionable creation. Childhood upbringing and environment dictate the conscious personalities we have as adults. Our brains are like big computers and the information and programs that run and execute that information is the environment we live in. (Give or take genes and a few other things.) Take for instance if you were born in Ethiopia in a small village and all your conscious mind had to work with was what and how GOD made you from the birth. Obviously your natural God givin instincts and design would not be self-hate and mental or physical self-destruction. Our envirnment we live in dictates shapes and forms this type of personality and feelings.

I agree, it needs to be overcome. For many reasons that dont need to be listed here. The ROOT of the problem needs to be honestly addressed for change to honestly and genuinly take effect. I also realize that there is "ritual" involved, its like this with any self destructive coping routine. I know you obviously pray on this but seriously pray hard, ask GOD for the answers as you pray, sometimes he answers as you pray. dont run from those answers. A major thing you have to realize is that no doctor or family member or spouse can get you through this. You with the help of the Lord are all there is for this...and I seriously dont agree with some doctors who say that this will follow you forever. (It will in a way ofcourse, but in what way? monkey on your back or a cornerstone for a solid foundation? Thats up to you!) Like Lots wife, if you look back, a pilar of salt you will become. ALLWAYS look forward to Christ Jesus and all he represents, all he did for you. Through him you will have strength and wisdom you can not have otherwise yet so very much need to live an honestly happy and full long life that you so deserve and GOD wants you to have sister.
