HELLO EVERY1 , HOPE ALL IS WELL .

MATT HUN , REBUKE THAT SICKNESS IN JESUS NAME WHERE THE ENEMY WILL LEAVE YOU ALONE.

KEEP THANKING GOD FOR MAKING YOU WELL ,

SPEAK THOSE THINGS AS THEY SHOULD BE , NOT AS THEY SEEM.

IT IS EASIER SAID THEN DONE , BUT WE CAN WITH THE POWER OF GOD. http://www3.christianforums.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

Bless you BLUEEYEANGEL...

Thanks so much, thats exactly what I needed...

Im going to take a shower, relax, and pray...I have allways prayed alot in the shower, its just very personal for me....just me and the Lord...maybe it's kinda wierd but, it's very comforting to me...no kids, no bills, no worries...

I need to start eating better, following the diet plan in the bible. eating more healthy foods like fruits and nuts..wheat bread...Im wasting away! I know that has alot to do with it too..It's strange coming from sombody who has been sick more in 2 weeks then the last 3 years! I'm getting older and I guess Its the Lords way of teling me to take better care of my temple...stop worrying so much about everybody else and having the weight of the world on my back. Its like my mind goes and goes, but the body just says "hey, remember me?" ...then poof! I'm sick for 2 weeks with 4 different things...

Thanks for reminding me of things Blue...God Bless:)

I KNOW TRUE MATT, ABOUT WORRYING.

THE ENEMY COMES AGAINST US AND TRIES TO ATTACH OUR BODIES , THANKS BE TO JESUS WHOM HAS ALL THE POWER.

I KNOW THE ENEMY LOVES TO PUT FEAR INTO ONE AND GET THEIR MINDS ALL TANGLED IN WORRIES.
AS I TYPE THIS I ASK GOD TO TOUCH YOUR BOBY AND MINE THAT WE WILL AGREE , YOU AND I ,THAT SATAN HANDS BE BIND THAT GOD WILL GIVE US STRENGHT AND COURAGE , KNOWLEDGE ,AND ENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER.
I KNOW ALOT OF WHAT ONE MAYBE GOING THROUGH.

LET ALL OF US CHILDREN OF GOD AGREE UPON THIS POST,
THAT SATAN WILL FLEE AND LETS PUT HIM UNDER OUR FEET AND BE STRONG
AND WHEN WE FEEL THE ENEMY AROUND , WE WILL JUST CALL THE NAME OF
JESUS UNTILL HE HIS GONE , CALL JESUS NAME OVER AND OVER AND SATAN WILL GO.http://www3.christianforums.com/images/icons/icon12.gifhttp://www3.christianforums.com/images/icons/icon2.gif

I love that feeling of shouting for the Lord!
Try it, it's like a revival straight thru your whole being!!
Glad to hear that you are feeling better. I've been a little under the weather too. Some of it is the holiday blues. This will be the 2nd Christmas since my mom passed away and I miss her. I guess the rest of it I should just chalk up to old age blues!! :-)
Have a great day.

Have you ever heard of an author called Watchman Nee?
He's great. He wrote this book called "Love Not The World".
A very uplifting book, especially on illnesses.

Anyway, to summarize, Nee says illnesses are not real...they are in our mind. The devil gives us symptoms to make us "think" we are ill. But the devil is the Father of Lies & a great deceiver. Whenever you see symptoms, refuse to believe that you are sick. Say out loud (so any evil spirits can hear you), I am NOT sick. I am being DECEIVED. I will NOT believe the lies that the devil is feeding me. In the name of Jesus, I command all evil to leave my presence at once!

Nee also says that a lot people get sick because they want to be sick or even worse, when they get sick, they accept it. Accepting an illness is the worse thing to do. It is like accepting sin, or accepting a horrible fate. We should fight back. Refuse to believe a lie the devil is handing you. (God says Jesus came to give us life & life more abundantly & that means health. Jesus came to HEAL the sick.)

If you're a Child of God, don't believe the LIES the devil hands you & says you have to accept. Don't accept it. Refuse to believe it. Command the evil to leave in Jesus' name.

Try that Matt....& see if the illness doesn't flee away from you.

No, AIDS is real Candy!

See back in the day, illness and sickness didnt happen to often because it didnt exist. Man (the devil) has made illness for reasons I don't want to get into here... I could give you a list of books, films, and web sites and you would never sleep! Like me! he he he..

Sorry hun, I was sick, I couldnt be more trusting in Jesus, more positive of a person...all the time..every second! It happened at church last Sunay, somebody gave me a tape that they made themselves, I was sick within 4 or 5 hours...I listened to the tape and (tell me this isnt the Lord workin for me) the person left the recorder going after it was finnished and recorded himself sneezing and coughing and stuff, really loud..all over everything!!! AMAZING!!!

I never get sick, I just have had a little bout thats all... but thanks to caring loving sisters and brothers, and faith, and ..well basically thats it, chicken noodle soup too..that helped...the demons have left my body!

Oh, I agree with the basic premise of mental illness AKA state of conscious mind or subconscious mind manifesting itself to sickness and all sorts of things, back problems, abusive patterns, attention for some people, other things I don't care to go into, trauma, exc...boredom.

I can assure you that Im very aware of my own mind and body. More then I like sometimes, (only sometimes mind you! lol I can also tell you I have WAY to much going on in my life all the time to even sleep some nights, not even letting on feeling sick for a week for no reason! Kids, job, bills, animals...weight of the world...you know how it is...

Thanks for keeping me on my toes though, a little late but I allways love hearing your learned opinion!

Where have you been all week? I have been waiting to have a nice verse posting session with ya?

Psalms 23

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thouh preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

So sorry to hear about the AIDS Matt. I didn't mean to imply it wasn't real. But I do know what can make it worse & that is fear hormones. Focusing on it releases fear homones that can aggravate the situation & produce worse symptoms. Best to keep focused on Jesus & His healing power.

I'd love to have another verse session with you Matt :P

But right now I'm studying for a 3 hr. exam I have to write on Monday. But if you wait 'til after Monday....studying the Bible together can be fun! You can even pick the topic :D

Wish me well in the exam & I wish you well in focusing all your attention on the Lord of the Universe, our One & Only Creator.

Matt, I received a miracle from God, healed after 7 years of agony. The fight of faith did not stop once I was healed. I continue to fight. The enemy does all he can to imitate the illness and to try to instill fear within me.

We have assurance from God that no weapon formed against us will prosper. It is a promise that I cling to every day.

Well, as I was typing this post I realized that it is my 2,000th post!! Amazing how much those numbers rack up in a short period of time. Only have been a member since March of this year. Anyway.....CF Is a great place for fellowship and encouragement.

I'd like to put up some scriptures. Psalms 24. Last night's service was surrounded by this. Here you go!

Psalm 24:

A Psalm of David. The earth is the LORD's, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods. Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.

Psalm 19: 1-14

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firemament showeth his handiwork.
Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night showeth knowledge.
There is no speech nor language, where there voice is not heard.
Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,
Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.
His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.
The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.
The statutues of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.
The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.
More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.
Who can understand his errors? Cleanse thou me from secret faults.
Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let thm not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.
Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

Wormwood

In Bible History (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2002/biblhist.htm), the Hebrew word (pronounced) law-ah-naw generally meant poisonous, or to poison, hence also in the figurative sense, accursed. It is used to refer to the very bitter plant (or one closely related to it) now classified by botanists as Artemisia absinthium (shown in the illustration) - the chief flavoring ingredient of the liqueur known as absinthe, before the original liqueur by that name was banned in a number of countries in the early 20th century because it was judged hazardous to health i.e. hallucinogenic. Coincidentally, other unrelated-to-absinthe beverages of that era were also banned, or eventually had their ingredients changed, because of suspected psychoactive effects e.g. Coca-Cola, the 1886 originally marketed as a "tonic" invention of Dr. John Pemberton, a pharmacist in Atlanta, Georgia, got its famous product name from the two active ingredients of its original formula - coca leaves (i.e. cocaine) and kola nuts (for caffeine), but from 1929 the popular "soft" drink was sold entirely free of the cocaine, if not the caffeine.

http://www.keyway.ca/jpg/wormwood.jpg

The King James Version translates the actual Hebrew (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2002/hebrewal.htm) word law-ah-naw once as "hemlock," but all other times as "wormwood." References to wormwood in the Holy Bible are almost always metaphorical e.g. "her end is bitter as wormwood" (see below).

"bitter as wormwood"

The King James Version once translates the original Hebrew word as "hemlock" but all other times as "wormwood." Most other translations use "wormwood" where the King James once uses "hemlock" as shown here for Amos 6:12 comparing the KJV with the RSV.

Interesting....

That picture of the plant looks like a popular weed growing around here called "goldenrod" & most people are allergic to it when it grows in August.

I remember reading about "wormwood" in the Book of Revelation and it somehow relates to the Chernoble disaster some years back in Russia (when it used to be called Russia), when the nuclear plant there blew up & killed some 2,000 people through radiation.

Interesting article!

Fill me in on Revelation...do you mean like its predicted in revelation that that would happen?

I know in revelation and another book it talks about nuclear war and weapons that are so deadly that afterward field officers cant touch the debris and are required to report where its located and other things...

They All Knew

Very few people, even atheists, deny that Jesus Christ (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2002/christ.htm) existed and was executed by the Romans (see also Ancient Empires - Rome (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2002/emprome.htm)). The historical evidence, Biblical and secular, of Christ's life and death is undeniable by any rational human being. His resurrection from the dead is what is denied, primarily by means of the preposterous contention that His disciples stole His body from the Tomb - a lie that began as an official coverup by the chief priests and Pharisees, and the Roman military, even though the conspirators of the coverup knew that Christ really did rise from the dead. "And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers, Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole Him away while we slept"

The chief priests and Pharisees knew who Jesus of Nazareth claimed to be, and of His statement that He would rise from the dead after 3 days. So, they went to Pontius Pilate (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2002/pilate.htm) and convinced him that Jesus' disciples were about to steal Jesus' body from the Tomb. Pilate then ordered that they officially seal (see Seals (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2003/20030105.htm)) the tomb themselves, to which Pilate also ordered a Roman military guard added. No body could have stolen the body.

http://www.keyway.ca/jpg/tombout.jpg

"Now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate, Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while He was yet alive, After three days I will rise again. Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest His disciples come by night, and steal Him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first." "Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can. So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch." (Matthew 27:62-66 KJV)

When Mary and Mary of Magdala (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2002/marymagd.htm) went to the Tomb in the early morning of the first day of the week, although the Tomb was still closed and sealed, Christ was not there; He had already risen from the dead just before sunset on the afternoon before and passed through the solid stone of the sealed Tomb (see the Fact Finder question below). An earthquake (an aftershock of the larger earthquake that occurred a little over 3 days before, at the moment of Christ's death, i.e. Matthew 27:51) and an angel opened the Tomb that morning, not to let Christ out, not to let people in to steal His dead body, but to let people in to see that Christ was already gone:

"In the end of the Sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre." "And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men."

"And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead; and, behold, He goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see Him: lo, I have told you." (Matthew 28:1-7 KJV)

The women weren't the only people to witness that the Tomb was already empty when it was opened. The Roman military guards also plainly saw it. When they thereafter reported to their superiors that the resurrection really happened, the official coverup began. The soldiers were given a large bribe to begin spreading the lie that Jesus' body was stolen while they were all asleep on guard duty (an extremely serious offense for any soldier, then or now; if true, those Roman troopers would not have been around to proclaim their military incompetence, they would have been in a military prison for dereliction of duty, or even executed, as was done to the soldiers who later slept through Peter's escape from prison, i.e. Acts 12:18-19).

"Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and showed unto the chief priests all the things that were done." "And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers, Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept. And if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you."

"So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day" (Matthew 28:11-15 KJV)

Blessed by this teaching, St M. How wonderful it is to know that our Lord holds all the power, nothing can keep Him in a tomb. His Word lives on in spite of efforts to control it or abolish it.

I pray that God will continue to reveal His truths and that cover-ups will be uncovered. Thanks to Jesus for bringing a light into this world that cannot be extinguished.

Eternal Rest

The term "eternal rest" is often used to refer to people who have died and are asleep in their graves, but the Word of God ultimately describes a rest for God's people that is a matter of life, eternal life, a time in which people will awaken to true rest, not meaning eternal idleness, or eternal death, but eternal life and freedom from being mortal. "Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest"

The English word rest is used to translate a number of Hebrew (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2002/hebrewal.htm) and Greek (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2002/greekal.htm) words of the Scriptures. The first recorded "rest," that of God after He completed the work of creation, is the Hebrew word (pronounced) shaw-bawth, which means to cease; hence the origin of the word Sabbath. As Bible History (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2002/biblhist.htm) progressed, "rest" became analogous for a state of being and a place where God's people could rest, not meaning that they would be idle in the "promised land," but that they would live in peace from that which troubled them, if they obeyed Him. Unfortunately, most of them didn't, but the physical promised land was used as a foreshadow of the spiritual promised land anyway. Even those who made it there then really haven't made it there yet (see When Will You Be Judged? (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2003/20030719.htm)).

http://www.keyway.ca/jpg/road.jpg The physical "promised land" was a place where God's people could "rest from all your enemies round about, so that ye dwell in safety." Their "rest" was a state of being in more ways than one; it was a sovereign political state, but it was also a state, a way, of existence.

"But when ye go over Jordan, and dwell in the land which The Lord your God giveth you to inherit, and when he giveth you rest from all your enemies round about, so that ye dwell in safety; Then there shall be a place which The Lord your God shall choose to cause his name to dwell there; thither shall ye bring all that I command you; your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the heave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which ye vow unto The Lord" (Deuteronomy 12:10-11 KJV)The physical promised land did not last because too many of the people were carnal-minded ("the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God" Romans 8:7 KJV), but the physical promised land was intended only as a model for a future spiritual promised land, a state of rest for Believers (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2002/20020807.htm) that will begin after The Return Of Jesus Christ (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2002/theretrn.htm) (see also Scenes From The Millennium (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2001/20010616.htm)).

"Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into His rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. For unto us was the Gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it." "For we which have believed do enter into rest, as He said, As I have sworn in My wrath, if they shall enter into My rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. For He spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all His works. And in this place again, If they shall enter into My rest."

"Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief: Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, to day, after so long a time; as it is said, to day if ye will hear His voice, harden not your hearts. For if Jesus had given them rest, then would He not afterward have spoken of another day."

"There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into His rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from His. Let us labour [see Works Means Obedience (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2003/20031104.htm)] therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief." (Hebrews 4:1-11 KJV)

Hi Matthew,

Thought I'd take a stab at this. Was it that Jesus will give us rest if we come to him. Jesus wants us to understand that its not hard to follow him. The He will take on all of our burdens.

Revelation 21:18~27:

And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass. And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald; The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst. And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there. And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.
And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

Hi Matt

Sorry I missed reading this post....just saw it tonight. Here's what Revelation says:

Revelation 8:11

And I found a website with more info on it. Here's the highlights. You have to click on the link if you want to know more about it:

Chernobyl Nuclear Disaster

On April 25th -26th, 1986 the World's worst nuclear power accident occurred at Chernobyl in the former USSR (now Ukraine). The Chernobyl nuclear power plant located 80 miles north of Kiev had 4 reactors and whilst testing reactor number 4 numerous safety procedures were disregarded. At 1:23am the chain reaction in the reactor became out of control creating explosions and a fireball which blew off the reactor's heavy steel and concrete lid.

The Chernobyl accident killed more than 30 people immediately, and as a result of the high radiation levels in the surrounding 20-mile radius, 135,00 people had to be evacuated.

Click here (http://news.bbc.co.uk/olmedia/cta/progs/02/earth_report/26apr.ram) to watch BBC World’s report on the Chernobyl Disaster. Requires RealPlayer.

Only 30 people died immediately, but after days, weeks & months, a total of about 2,000 died, most of them from radiation poisoning.

I remember a BIG scandal about the Love Canal. I just can't remember the details about it though since it was soooooo long ago. I think I was just a young one then.

So fill me in...what was the "experiment" about about?

Hello there Candy! Thanks for the info..

In light of going into my own personal theories, information, and personal experiences, Id rather you make your own conclusions to what happened at Love Canal.

I hope you read these pages, for they are very helpful...

"In 1978, my neighbors and I discovered that our neighborhood in Love Canal, New York, had been built on top of 21,800 tons of buried toxic chemicals. When we bought our homes, none of us knew that Hooker Chemical Corporation, a division of Occidental Petroleum, had dumped 200 tons of a toxic, dioxin-laden chemical called trichlorophenol and 21,600 tons of various other chemicals into Love Canal. We just knew we were getting sick. We knew there were too many miscarriages, too many birth defects, too many central nervous system problems, too many urinary tract disorders, and too much asthma and other respiratory problems among us."

Trials and Tribulations

"Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues; And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for My sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles. But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you. And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved." (Matthew 10:16-22 KJV) "For then shall be great tribulation"

The English word tribulation is derived from the ancient Latin word tribulum which was a device used for threshing grain. Threshing was a necessarily violent process (as it still is, as made evident by the number of farmers who are tragically injured or killed each year by getting accidentally caught in the mechanical workings of a combine or other sort of threshing machine) in which grain was furiously beaten and "thrashed" to separate it from the straw and chaff. From that, tribulation came to mean a severe trial or catastrophic event. It's used to translate the original Greek word of the New Testament (pronounced) th-lip-sis which means anguish or persecution.

http://www.keyway.ca/jpg/anathma.jpg Christians have been subjected to tribulations right from the start:

"Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the Kingdom of God" (Acts 14:22 KJV) There will be however only one great tribulation i.e. "then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time" (see below). This is what Jesus Christ (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2002/christ.htm) about it:

"And as He sat upon The Mount Of Olives (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2002/mtolives.htm), the disciples came unto Him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of Thy coming, and of The End Of The World (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2003/20030809.htm)?" "And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in My Name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows."

"Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this Gospel of The Kingdom (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2004/20040410.htm) shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come."

"When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, whoso readeth, let him understand: Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains [see Who Should Flee Into The Mountains? (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2004/20040617.htm), also Sodom and Egypt (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2002/20021101.htm)]: Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's [see What Does "Election" Mean In The Bible? (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2004/20041028.htm)] sake those days shall be shortened. Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before."

"Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be [see Why Did They Face East? (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2002/20021008.htm)]. For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together."

"Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His elect [see The Gatherings To Come (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2002/20020113.htm), also When Will You Be Judged? (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2003/20030719.htm)] from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other." (Matthew 24:3-31 KJV)

The Origin Of Biblical Nutrition
What exactly is Biblical Nutrition and why is it important?

http://www.houseofdavid.net/deuteronomy/cornacopia1.jpgThe Bible diet is the oldest diet on earth because it was established by God Himself in the Garden of Eden.

“And God said, ‘See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food.’” (Genesis 1:29)

Notice first of all by this statement that God identifies two basic vegetarian sources of nourishment for mankind – herbs and fruits. The Hebrew word for herb is eseb a broadly defined word which means green, grass, tender shoot or herb. Falling under this definition would be a wide variety of herb foods including cereal grasses (wheat, barley, rice, etc.), vegetables, beans, legumes, berry plants, herbs and spices.

Furthermore, the seed producing trees would also include a huge variety of fruits and nuts, including two important Bible foods – grapes and olives. Not to be overlooked is the fact that God more than likely intended for us to eat even the seeds themselves since modern science is now uncovering a host of health-building factors in seeds (and pits).

Here, then, is a list of food categories defined as Bible foods:

• Fruits
• Grains & Cereals
• Vegetables
• Spices
• Legumes • Seeds
• Beans
• Sprouts
• Nuts
• Herbs

Noticeably absent from this Eden menu (Bible diet) is any form of animal products. Also missing are food additives, artificial preservatives, colorants, fungicides, mold inhibitors, extenders, artificial flavorings – you know – the usual stuff we eat every single day of our lives.

Now we have a template of the perfect foods that God ordained for perfect man’s original Eden Bible diet. The question then is whether we should still be eating this way or doesn’t it really matter anymore?

Of course it still matters. In fact, the modern science of nutrition has shown us that there is a direct link between the diet we follow and the condition of our health. This being the case, then why would we not opt for the most perfect foods God ever created for man?

Good afternoon Lily!!!

hope you are doing good today...

I left more info in your thread...

and so then I decided to cut and paste that info here as well, just to spread the word around...

Did you know that vitamin B-17 prevents cancer? It can be found in Apricot seeds. Imagine that! EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO LIVE IS IN THE BIBLE!!!! lol. Thats why in northern Pakistan I believe but don't quote me, there is a community that actually uses Apricot seeds as currency. The women rub the oils on their face and other things to prevent again and to mantain that youthful look. I know most in here have had Apricot scrubs right? They also, (before Western mans interference of course) lived to be near 150 years old based on a biblical type diet. PRAISE THE LORD!!!

I would like to post one of my favorite Bible verses:
Isaiah 53:5
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement for our peace was upon him: and with his stripes we are healed.
"He did not sin, so any correction needful was ours. We had sinned and were estranged from God, so God sent Him to be chastised in our stead in order tht we might become reconciled and have peace with our Maker again. What was necessary to reconcile God and man was placed upon Christ to make peace again between God and man."

Disposition

The Greek (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2002/greekal.htm) word (pronounced) dee-ath-ay-kay actually means a disposition, the act or means of disposing of something, as in a will. It is variously translated as either "covenant" or "testament," which is interesting because they differ in meaning in English usage i.e. covenant means "a written agreement between two or more parties to perform some action" while testament means "a legal document declaring a person's wishes regarding the disposal of their property when they die." While the Greek word is closer in meaning to the English word "testament," the Biblical usage of it blends "covenant" and "testament" in a way that the full Scriptural meaning is only made clear by the use of both. Covenant and Testament

The original Greek word is variously rendered according to a translator's preference, whether within a single version of the Bible, or in comparing versions such as the example below where the original Greek word in Mark 14:24 is translated as "covenant" in the Revised Standard Version (which was based upon the American Standard Version, which was based upon the King James Version) and "new testament" in the King James:

http://www.keyway.ca/jpg/scroll.jpg

"And He said to them, "This is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many" (RSV) "And He said unto them, This is My blood of the new testament, which is shed for many." (KJV)

Examples of the original Greek word dee-ath-ay-kay translated as "covenant" in the King James Version:

"But now hath He obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also He is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. For finding fault with them, He saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in My covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to Me a people" (Hebrews 8:6-10 KJV) Examples of the same original Greek word dee-ath-ay-kay translated as "testament" or "new testament" in the King James Version:

"And He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is My blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins" (Matthew 26:27-28 KJV) "Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life." (2 Corinthians 3:6 KJV)

While the New Testament is about a New Covenant, the word testament is appropriate because, according to the literal meaning of testament, a death, not of calves and goats, but of Jesus Christ (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2002/christ.htm), the Son of God, is a key event of the new covenant. Again, the very same original Greek word variously translated as either covenant or testament, is here very appropriately translated as testament:

"And for this cause He is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth. Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood. For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people, Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you." (Hebrews 9:15-20 KJV) Fact Finder: Why did there have to be a "Lamb of God"?

Gath of the Philistines

Gath, from the Hebrew word pronounced gawth, meaning wine press, was one of the royal cities of the Philistines (Ashdod, Gaza, Askelon, Gath, Ekron) that were located in the general area in what is today still called Gaza, between southern Israel and the Mediterranean Sea. The Philistines (the illustration below is that of an actual ancient carving of a Philistine warrior done during the time of Joshua) were militarily powerful and as such were often a formidable problem for the people of Israel who did not have (and still don't have) the luxury of being able to very carefully pick and choose who they went to war with. King David knew the Philistines well; he at times fought them, and at other times lived among them, as happened when David was pursued out of Judah by Saul (see below). "There was none of the Anakims left in the land of the children of Israel: only in Gaza, in Gath, and in Ashdod, there remained"

Gath is first specifically mentioned in Bible History (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2002/biblhist.htm) in the time of Joshua, when the Israelites had crossed the Jordan into their physical promised land.

http://www.keyway.ca/jpg/philist.jpg

"And at that time came Joshua (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2002/joshua2.htm), and cut off the Anakims from the mountains, from Hebron (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2002/hebron.htm), from Debir, from Anab, and from all the mountains of Judah, and from all the mountains of Israel: Joshua destroyed them utterly with their cities. There was none of the Anakims left in the land of the children of Israel: only in Gaza, in Gath, and in Ashdod, there remained." "So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that The Lord said unto Moses (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2004/20040912.htm); and Joshua gave it for an inheritance unto Israel according to their divisions by their tribes. And the land rested from war." (Joshua 11:21-23 KJV)

In later years, when the Israelites had become corrupt, The Lord permitted their defeat in battle, and the capture of The Ark Of The Covenant (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2002/arkcovnt.htm) by the Philistines, who, before long, were very eager to send The Ark back to Israel (see also Raiders Of The Lost Ark (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2003/20030314.htm))

"And when the men of Ashdod saw that it was so, they said, The Ark of the God of Israel shall not abide with us: for His hand is sore upon us, and upon Dagon our god. They sent therefore and gathered all the lords of the Philistines unto them, and said, What shall we do with The Ark of the God of Israel?" "And they answered, Let The Ark of the God of Israel be carried about unto Gath. And they carried The Ark of the God of Israel about thither."

"And it was so, that, after they had carried it about, the hand of The Lord was against the city with a very great destruction: and He smote the men of the city, both small and great, and they had emerods in their secret parts. Therefore they sent The Ark of God to Ekron.

And it came to pass, as The Ark of God came to Ekron, that the Ekronites cried out, saying, They have brought about The Ark of the God of Israel to us, to slay us and our people. So they sent and gathered together all the lords of the Philistines, and said, Send away The Ark of the God of Israel, and let it go again to his own place, that it slay us not, and our people: for there was a deadly destruction throughout all the city; the hand of God was very heavy there." (1 Samuel 5:7-11 KJV)

In the time that David was being pursued by Saul (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2002/saul.htm), David took refuge with the Philistines - despite the fact that David had been a deadly enemy of them. David resorted to a ruse that seemed to make the Philistines think that David was no longer dangerous to them.

"And David arose, and fled that day for fear of Saul, and went to Achish the king of Gath. And the servants of Achish said unto him, Is not this David the king of the land? did they not sing one to another of him in dances, saying, Saul hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands?" "And David laid up these words in his heart, and was sore afraid of Achish the king of Gath. And he changed his behaviour before them, and feigned himself mad in their hands, and scrabbled on the doors of the gate, and let his spittle fall down upon his beard."

"Then said Achish unto his servants, Lo, ye see the man is mad: wherefore then have ye brought him to me? Have I need of mad men, that ye have brought this fellow to play the mad man in my presence? shall this fellow come into my house? David therefore departed thence, and escaped to the cave Adullam: and when his brethren and all his father's house heard it, they went down thither to him." (1 Samuel 21:10-22:1 KJV)

While still on the run from Saul, David, his immediate family, and many of those who had remained loyal to him, lived under the protection of the king of Gath and other Philistines for over a year.

"And David said in his heart, I shall now perish one day by the hand of Saul: there is nothing better for me than that I should speedily escape into the land of the Philistines; and Saul shall despair of me, to seek me any more in any coast of Israel: so shall I escape out of his hand." "And David arose, and he passed over with the six hundred men that were with him unto Achish, the son of Maoch, king of Gath. And David dwelt with Achish at Gath, he and his men, every man with his household, even David with his two wives, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail the Carmelitess, Nabal's wife. And it was told Saul that David was fled to Gath: and he sought no more again for him."

"And David said unto Achish, If I have now found grace in thine eyes, let them give me a place in some town in the country, that I may dwell there: for why should thy servant dwell in the royal city with thee?"

"Then Achish gave him Ziklag that day: wherefore Ziklag pertaineth unto the kings of Judah unto this day. And the time that David dwelt in the country of the Philistines was a full year and four months." (1 Samuel 27:1-7 KJV)

King David (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2002/david.htm) was nevertheless still a deadly force to anyone who was a threat to him.

"And David smote the land, and left neither man nor woman alive, and took away the sheep, and the oxen, and the asses, and the camels, and the apparel, and returned, and came to Achish." "And Achish said, Whither have ye made a road to day? And David said, Against the south of Judah, and against the south of the Jerahmeelites, and against the south of the Kenites. And David saved neither man nor woman alive, to bring tidings to Gath, saying, Lest they should tell on us, saying, So did David, and so will be his manner all the while he dwelleth in the country of the Philistines." (1 Samuel 27:9-11 KJV)

High Noon

The English word "noon" is used to translate the Hebrew (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2002/hebrewal.htm) word of the Old Testament, pronounced tso-har, which means double light, or to glisten. In the New Testament, "noon" is used to translate the Greek (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2002/greekal.htm) word, pronounced mes-aim-bree-ah, meaning middle of the day. References to noon in the Scriptures are sometimes literal, but at other times are used as an analogy for how people who live by physical light alone, no matter how great, are blind to the true Light of the world i.e. "I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life" (John 8:12 KJV). "clearer than the noonday; thou shalt shine forth, thou shalt be as the morning"

The righteous people of the Scriptures commonly prayed three times per day, such as the prophet Daniel who "kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God" (Daniel 6:10 KJV). The reference below from Psalms shows how, for those who prayed three times per day, the noon prayer was the last of the "day" because, to God, days begin and end at sunset, or "evening" (see Sunset or Midnight? (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2000/20001017.htm), also Hours Of The Day (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2003/20031223.htm)). The first, second and third prayer times of the day were "evening, and morning, and at noon."

http://www.keyway.ca/jpg/noonsun.jpg

"As for me, I will call upon God; and The Lord shall save me. Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice." (Psalm 55:16-17 KJV) People ate their noonday meal and then sometimes rested during the hottest part of the day.

"And when Joseph saw Benjamin with them, he said to the ruler of his house, Bring these men home, and slay, and make ready; for these men shall dine with me at noon" (Genesis 43:16 KJV) "And the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, Rechab and Baanah, went, and came about the heat of the day to the house of Ishbosheth, who lay on a bed at noon" (2 Samuel 4:5 KJV)

Truly repentant people will "see" with more than just the physical light of the world; their vision (pun intented) becomes "clearer than the noonday."

"If thou prepare thine heart, and stretch out thine hands toward him; If iniquity be in thine hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in thy tabernacles. For then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot; yea, thou shalt be stedfast, and shalt not fear: Because thou shalt forget thy misery, and remember it as waters that pass away: And thine age shall be clearer than the noonday; thou shalt shine forth, thou shalt be as the morning. And thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; yea, thou shalt dig about thee, and thou shalt take thy rest in safety." (Job 11:13-18 KJV) On the other hand, the carnal, unrepentant "wise of this world" are in darkness, no matter how bright their physical light.

"He taketh the wise in their own craftiness: and the counsel of the froward is carried headlong. They meet with darkness in the daytime, and grope in the noonday as in the night. But he saveth the poor from the sword, from their mouth, and from the hand of the mighty. So the poor hath hope, and iniquity stoppeth her mouth. Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty" (Job 5:13-17 KJV) Before his conversion, while he was a terrible persecutor of Christians, Saul, who later became the apostle Paul, was struck blind on the road to Damascus at noon. Three days later, the Holy Spirit cured him of his physical blindness and his spiritual blindness. Paul thereafter went on to become one of the greatest Christians of all time, a man who, by means of the Holy Spirit that enabled him to see the Light, wrote much of what became the New Testament (see Paul's Ministry (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2004/20040116.htm)).

"And it came to pass, that, as I made my journey, and was come nigh unto Damascus (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2002/damascus.htm) about noon, suddenly there shone from heaven a great light round about me. And I fell unto the ground, and heard a voice saying unto me, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? And I answered, Who art thou, Lord? And he said unto me, I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom thou persecutest." (Acts 22:6-8 KJV) "And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man: but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus. And he was three days without sight" (Acts 9:8-9 KJV)

"And Ananias (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2001/20010718.htm) went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with The Holy Ghost (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2004/20040228.htm). And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized." (Acts 9:17-18 KJV)

Aristarchus

Aristarchus, from two Greek (http://www.keyway.ca/htm2002/greekal.htm) words, "arist," meaning best of (the "arist" in the name Aristarchus means the same as the "arist" in the social term aristocrat) and "archus," meaning rule ("arch" is a suffix found in such words as monarchy, or mono-archy, meaning one ruler) was, despite his high-sounding name, a humble man of God (the fact that relatively so few know of him, even though his dedication to God was second to no one, is a testimony to his humility) was one of the few who had both the faith and the courage to remain with the apostle Paul during the troubles that Paul, and his l
