I'm a new mod... I know how to delete posts and get rid of threads...I think... ??? In my notes, I have the information. We can all edit our own posts and I'm really good at that...lol :)
As far as threads go, we usually prefer to close them.
To delete a post, one has to split the post from the thread... it takes a little bit longer than editing a post... (I hope...that is correct).

I'm looking for advice on a thread I started for newbies in the Armor exchange forum.
I have clothing that I advertised very cheap, but nobody was interested.
I thought I would grant a few wish lists with it but I can't find anyone who wants the items. What should I do?

I'm not D'Ann but I will answer. :)
You could either return them back to the Armor Store for blessings or either make an Auction in the Auction forum for really cheap. You can find both on the Member's navabar at the top of your CF screen. :)

Greetings and welcome... sorry for the delay in answering your questions. I'll do my best.
How to work this site? The blue bar (Navbar) on top of your screen is a great place to explore. Click on each one of the items and that will be a start in becoming familiar with the CF options.
Reputation is what someone will give to another person for a good writtened post. The way that you would give someone reputation is to click on the hand in the upper left hand side of someone's post by their name.
If you have received some Reputation and would like to see comments made to you, you can click on UserCP on the blue bar or you can go into your private messages and click on Control Panel (CP) as well. Scroll down and on your right hand side will be the comments and on your left hand side will be the posts that people rep'd you on. If you want to read what you wrote, click on the post on your left hand side.
Blessings are the heart shape close to the hand. When someone wants to bless someone, they click on that icon and then one can bless another with blessings or with some armor.
Here is a link that you might find handy:
http://www.christianforums.com/faq.php?faq=vb_faq#faq_about_us
We do not really rate others. The reps are for complimenting another or thanking someone for writing something that hit home with you.
Health will improve based on how many posts you post. Keep posting and you'll be fine.
When someone blesses you, you will get a message like a private pm message. Click on that and it will show you what someone said to you and what they blessed you with.
I'm grateful to you for asking these questions. When I first started posting here at CF, I was confused too and it took me quite awhile to figure stuff out... You are one up on me though, I didn't even think of asking anyone...lol :)
I hope that I was helpful and please click on the above link. It will explain further and in no time, you'll be feeling very comfortable and not so overwhelmed.
Enjoy CF.
God Bless,
Debbie

http://www.iriddler.com/riddles/puzzles/farmer.gif
A farmer has to get a corn, a chicken, and a fox across a river. The farmer is only able to bring one of the above items along with him at a time. The only problem is if he leaves the fox alone with the chicken, the fox will eat the chicken, and if he leaves the chicken along the corn sack, then the chicken will eat the corn sack. How does the farmer get all 3 items across safelyhttp://www.iriddler.com/images/q.gif

Okay, you two...figure this one out...why did Bob, lose his job?
#1 The Case of the Archaeological Dig
"I've finally earned my place as assistant curator of the museum", said Bob Hobbie to Max, the chief administrator of the Belgra Archeological Museum. "I moved West of the Pakistani dig site and we've just unearthed some wonderful coin artifacts."
"Why did you start digging in a new location?" asked Max.
"One of the local natives told me that, for many generations, his family had passed down a legend of a lost village and he found a map among his father's things," said Bob. "His father recently passed away", he added. "The native followed the map and led me to this site on the condition that if we discovered anything of value he would be paid one thousand dollars", explained Bob.
"And what is it that you found buried,?" asked Max.
"It's just terrific," exclaimed Bob, "we found 3 gold coins of various sizes dated 400 B.C., and after properly dusting them off I found them to be in excellent condition." "I quickly paid the native to complete our verbal contract and keep him from trying to claim a portion of the discovery," concluded Bob. After considering for a few moments, Max told Bob that when he returns home he should look for another job!! Why?

We always used to light a candle on Christmas Eve when I was little and put it in the window.
So that we could remember the Holy Family searching for a place to stay and to tell them there was room in our house.
It got to be a bit of a family event...

What an awesome tradition. I have fake candles with light bulbs in them that I put in my kitchen window... but only because I thought it was pretty. Now, this year, when I put my candles with the lightbulb in my window, I will think about the Holy Family searching for a place to stay and that they are welcome here... wow... don't know why that didn't occur to me until you wrote your words... thank you.

Hi DAnn, I asked this once before about nmod appointments and was told I post to much in the fun threads. Do they even look at what someone posts as I do a lot of serious posts as well, was turned down twice because of this reason and no one can figure it out, I am to the point that I will not apply again as I feel why bother as my posting habits will not change.

Hi, can you explain (again) how sometimes people can give you zero rep? (The gray boxes) Does that mean they hate you?
Since this post is several days old and there does not seem to be any staff here at this time, I will try to answer. The gray reps do not mean they hate you, it just means they do not have enough posts and/or reps themself to actually up your rep count, but they can still send you an encouraging message or just let you know they approve. Hope this helps. God Bless.

I would venture to guess that the thread was removed. You said it seems to have disappeared, and that you are not authorized to view it, so I'd say it's probably gone altogther. It if was only closed, you'd still be able to see it, just not post to it.

 Greetings everybody ...
I am not D'Ann with a different name ... she is a great mod and she is also a wonderful friend - always willing to help and praying for others.
I realize that members have questions about CF features and functions etc. ... and I know that D'Ann would love to answer these questions. Please, remember that this is a fellowship thread in a forum designed for fellowship. A place where staff members and non-staff members can meet and well, fellowship. :)
And as much as staff members would like to come here everyday and chat and fellowship, there are days when it is all about work.
I don't want to upset anyone, this is not a mod hat, it is just a friendly note and request:
- if you have any questions about CF, CF features, please post them in the Questions about CF forum
if a feature does not work properly, report it in the Report Bugs forum
You will get more replies and sooner - because that is where quite a few members check in to answer questions.
Thank you :)
