If any moderator is reading this, please note that not everyone has "declared" their doctrinal leaning... so how will the moderators know?

The way it reads, apparently ANY debate, even by those who are in the same group, will be considered to violate the policy of fellowship posts here.
So in other words, no debate here. At all. At least that is what I got from it.
If that is the case though, why not kill the two branches and have a FELLOWSHIP only section? Then it wouldn't look bad, we could all fellowship.

Why not PM them and ask?

LOL
Well, if the mods respond openly, it may cut down on the multiple queries, if others have similar questions.
Plus, I hear they are short-staffed. They went from way over 100 in April to just about 80 mods.

If I post the question in the open, then others who may have had the same question won't feel the need to contact a Mod cause they see someone has asked the question they also were thinking of asking....

I'm sorry, maybe I misunderstood, but I could have sworn that it states that they prefer us to privately message them if we have specific questions for them. Therefore, I thought the answer might be received much more quickly if it was placed in a PM. That's all.

You are probably right, Sassy. All the notices are jumbled up in my head now -- will try and sort through all that sometime.

If each one of you could please PM me, that'd be great....oh wait. No it wouldn't. lol
I think the issue is that people are taking much too much out of the titles we have set up. To choose the Reformed (soon to be "Progressive"- the request went in today) does not make you any less SDA or any less Christian. We try to group people together that have like beliefs. The post that rnmomof7 made was not to stifle discussion and debate within the like groups, but to stop debate between the unfriendly factions within SDA that have been at each others' necks since we started this area.
For those that have not chosen, or have chosen incorrectly, we will do what we do in the other forums. We will look at the posts and request that that person post in X forum since their theology is closest to that forum's beliefs.

What is this reformed business all about? I thought we were all still one church. I have been away for a while for a variety of reasons. Now I come back and apparently I am supposed to choose sides with people from my own denomination. I realize that we hold a diverse variety of opinions, but we need to stay together.

Choose sides with some and against the others...
It's the path of least resistance... or to put it in Shakespearean terms it is the choice to 'by avoiding, end them'... rather than to bear the 'slings and arrows of outrageous fortune'.
BTJM; other's mileage may vary.
