I agree. Satan deceives in these ways, trying to act the part of God in this case, to spread his evil.

I really don't know about this man's situation but this report said that he came back from a missions trip in Haiti...

There is a lot of witchcraft in Haiti...I know missionaries who go there regularly and some of the stories would make your hair stand on end...

People presume all the time that they are ready to be involved in missions but are spiritually not ready to deal with some of the things they encounter and with disastrous results...

After reading the article I felt disgusted and I think rightly so. The killing was "spur of the moment" and he was compelled to do it when his parents chastised him for having friends around while they were away in Haiti. IMHO, he didn't really know what he was saying when he said that "God told him to do it". That he could kill and dismember his own parents is appalling!!! :mad: :mad: :mad:
I pray for people like that - that is just so sad!! :cry:

Let's not put restrictions on God. I agree, it appears God doesn't operate that way anymore, and that makes me relieved, but He once did and as we say he's unchanging.
