organ donation

I'm wondering what people's thoughts are on organ donation. I've always been interested in offering my organs to others who need them after I die. Is this mentioned in any way in the Bible? i'm guessing that it won't as organ donation is a relatively new procedure.

What are your thoughts? Is it ethical for a Christian to donate their organs? What about to receive them?

I think it's a wonderful choice, bringing hope out of loss. Since we are no longer in the body, I think it's a very good thing. God bless.

I see it is a good thing also. Its a final donation to help other people.

There are many people in need of organs and I'm certainly not going to use them when I'm dead. :P It makes me feel good to know that someone's life can be helped by my simply being willing to donate them. I think it's a wonderful thing to do (but if you personally don't want to do it, I see no problem with that either!)

It'd really bless someone's life to receive the help they need!

Since you can't take it with you, you may as well give it to someone who can get some use out of it! I'm all for it.
