Need some ideas....

I'm doing an essay paper on 5 things that the world puts pressure on the Christian church to compromise on and for the life of me, I can only come up with about four at best. Other than: homosexuality/gay marriage, abortion, promiscuity/sex outside of marriage, and universal acceptance that all religions lead to God, I really can't think of anything else that would be considered real "pressure" on Christianity. Does anyone out there have any other ideas? Thanks!

No problem. How many times have you heard or been told by an atheist "Can't you just keep your religion at church or in your home?" Prime example of what society expects of us, and that they have no concept of what a walk with Christ means.

Actually - I've never been told by an atheist "Can't you just keep your religion at church or in your home?" - which now has me a bit concerned. I thought I was living my faith out loud, but I've never really been pressured or persecuted by non-Christians... which is why I needed help with ideas about this to begin with. I took the four I came up with from the media. If the world is using pressure - it must be subtle or in general, because I've not been touched by it personally. I'm not exactly out there waving protest banners or attacking movements though - so maybe that's why.

Don't take it that way, most likely the Enemy isn't attacking you in that way, it speaks nothing of your faith. Remember, Jesus said not to wear our faith on our sleeves as a way to draw attention to ourselves, etc. A lot of the people who 'stir the pot' are doing just that.

I think if we were all living out our walk like Jesus wanted, all that could be said about us would be "wow, they really have their act together, they always help people in need and never ask for a thing. Look how happy they are with what they have, they don't get angry or jealous or anything. Always willing to bend over backword for other folks. " etc.

Holy Spirit....Gal 5:16-17, Eph 5:18

Jesus Christ....James 4;7, Heb 12:1-2

There are many enimies in this World...and we can protect ourselves from them with Omnipotence of God at our side.....
