A few months ago, someone posted a link to some mp3s of a woman singing some beautiful Orthodox music, but I just lost a ton of my mp3 files and it's gone now. Does anyone remember where it can be found? Thanks.

Try this (http://www.pravoslavlje.nl/crkvena_muzika.htm).
It's not really big but it has some songs.

It was Greek. There was a beautiful version of Kristos Anesti.

I am listening to it now. It is beautiful but what is it about-and did I just hear a lamb?

yup, that's a lamb, but what you're listening to is the pascha troparion:
Christ is risen from the dead,
by death he has trampled upon death,
and to those in the tombs,
he is bestowing life.
but of course the woman is not speaking english. ;)

That is beautiful singing, but I wish the lady had recorded a version that didn't have so much noise. I can hear a microphone popping like crazy, and that lamb noise is very strange indeed.

It is due to it being live recording of a celebration organised by Serbian Church to restore Stupovi Monastery (XII cent.).
The noise is actually lambs jumping around... for the singer was dressed like a peasant girl keeping eye on her lambs.. so, where there is a scene of a peasant girl with lambs, there must be a girl and lambs...

Sorry Matrona, next time we will eat lambs before she sings... ^_^
