Just curious: with the recent closing of three threads in the "Jewish Debates" section is the following the posting etiquette within this MJ forum as such:
1) Outside of FORMAL Jewish Debates, non-Christian posters are to only post fellowship and/or questions?
2) The only outlet for discussion/debate with non-Christian posters has to be formal?

My 100% honest answer: we're working on this one. There are issues involved with having a debate forum in the Christian Only section that allows debate with non-Christians, not to mention the fact that Jewish Debates has lacked an official statement of purpose, that need to be sorted out. Give us a little time, and we'll get back to you. :)

Sounds peachy.

I forgot to ask in post #3: is it best to not post anything outside of fellowship and questions until your decision is made? What is the standard at present?

I would say yes, only questions about what messianics think and fellowship. Fellowship would be considered positive not derogatory comments on why someone may disagree with messianic thought. Only those with a scroll faith icon may answer questions. :)
There are other areas of CF that do not have restrictions for posting. These restrictions (limited to asking questions and fellowship) are for the faith specific areas. For example there are faith specific subforums for Catholics, Baptists, Lutherans etc. All these types of forums have these same kind of posting restrictions.

So, as it stands right now, I can only post fellowship/question posts or present a formal debate?
There is no in-between on just having discussions within this forum?

Honestly there are some broader issues of concern that we are working on. Please limit posting to asking questions and fellowship
If you would like to participate in a forum that would not limit your ability to participate I encourage you to check out the other areas of the forum that are not listed under the "Christian Only" areas.

I'm very aware and fully involved in the areas outside of MJ (and CO). There are many people who don't venture outside of the CO section that might benefit from discussions with those who are not Messianic.
I have no problem adhering to what is set forth by the moderator staff. It just may be of interest to have an area that opens up to more free-flowing discussion.
