You got a good number of them right - that's better than most people :D.

1)What did the Knights who say Nee! ask King Arthur to cut down the mightiest tree in the forest with? a fish. a trout perhaps? You're right in that it was a fish. However it was a herring. The line was "And then you shall cut down the mightiest tree in the forest with [dramatic pause] a herring!"

2)To kill the Killer Bunny at the entrace to the cave, King Arthur used the Holy Hand Grenade of _______? I looked this one up... Antioch! Very good!

3)What was the name of the Sorcerer with the horns who helped the Knights of Camelot? dunno! didn't look it up either The Sorcerer's name was Tim. That's it, just Tim.

4)When the French Knights were mocking King Arthur, what did they say about his mother and what did they say about his father? (Hint - "Your mother was a _______ and your father smelt of ________.") your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries! Awesome! One of my favorite lines. It continues "Now go away or shall taunt you a second time!

5)How did King Arthur get his cocunuts? an african or european swallow. which one, i forget! This was a tricky one actually, because it's a little misleading in the dialogue. However King Arthur did say that he found it - he didn't say where.

6)Which limb did the Black Knight lose first? right arm Yup! His sword arm. :D

7)When King Arthur was facing the Black Knight, he said "What are you going to do, bite my _______ off?" (What is the bodypart?) legs Well, you got the general category - it was kneecaps.

8)Sir Robin was known as "Sir Robin the _______" Brave Very good :)

9)Name one of the two twins in the Monestary that is all young women between the ages of 16 and 19. "Naughty" Zoot Oh perfect! Even better than I was expecting with that part about "Naughty" Zoot. ;)

10)Whose' death prompted the British police to get involved (in the movie)? Some historian I believe Yup. The subtitle that appreaded next to him said "Some famous historian"

I think 10 is enough for now.

Serious question though - what state are you from and can you tell us anything about where you are/what you plan to do in za future?

Hmmmm, that's sort of a 3 part question. (I'm tricky like that :P )

State of birth and current residency: Michigan, lower peninsula.
Where I am: Ann Arbor aka "the Deuce" or "Ace Deuce" or sometimes "the Midwestern Berkley". I was born and raised here and absolutely love it. It's a fun eclectic mix of colors, religions, activities, and neighborhoods. I just wish it was in a more hilly, scenic area of the country and not in flat, boring MI ;)
Za Future: I would love to get a job with bennies. I'm mooching right now and I hate that feeling. I also want to save my money for two things: moving out on my own and doing missions work, perhaps with ywam (www.ywam.org). I wanna get hitched, have kiddos, get fit, learn Hebrew, explore the world, and never ever own a minivan.

I can answer that either hereor in my Q/A thread...but I'll do so here :D I wouldn't say it's too male oriented...my girlfriend and I have watched both Holy Grail and The Life of Brian together and both laughed in unison many times. But I guess it's a brand of humour that will touch many in many different ways :)

oh i think it's funny alright! But I also think that I see many more men quoting Monty Python (and the Simpsons and Family Guy and Tommy Boy and Adam Sandler movies, etc. etc. ad nausium ;) ) than girls. Of course there are good exceptions.

What is your favorite Thanksgiving memory?

plum
23rd November 2005, 09:49 PM
Way back in the day we always had thanksgiving at grandma&grandpa's house. there are three great things about that holiday that i treasure most:
1) as we'd come up their street and then the long driveway, we'd count up to 10, trying to time it perfectly so that when we said "ten!" we would be putting the car into park. And right then, grandma would be out in front of their house ringing this big bell they always rang onthanksgiving when someone came. I miss that bell!

2) Every year Grandma would get out her old tape recorder, this old giant grey machine that lived in the basement, and all the grandkids who were old enough to do it would either sing a song, record a talent (my brother played the recorder one year) or tell jokes (he also told this funny joke about a donut, though I can't remember it for the life of me!). I wonder where that tape is now. We stopped doing it when I was in high school. I guess we thought it was dumb. But I miss it even more now that Grandma's gone...

3)Every night after dessert the adults would all circle around the big dining room table and play "Oh Posh!" which, as I can recall, is a card game involving tricks and trumps and the like. I never learned how to play, but I fondly remember hearing them laugh and joke together while we kids played in the livingroom. I'd like that tradition to be resurrected someday!

ooh good question. hmm...
i'm not the biggest thrill seeker so this is a tough one.

I think essentially backpacking Europe would be one huge adventure I'd love to take!
