Ours is a very little group that is made up of mostly gentiles that are very new to the messianic movement. The "rabbi" isn't real big on organization or much into litergy, but has asked DH to cant for the High Holiday services and our home was volunteered to host the firt night of Sukkot - "becuase you are the ones most likely to have decorations and know whats supposed to be going on." Nothing like hosting 30+ people when you are in the final trimester to add a little stess. :)
So does your congregation do a full service, an abreivated service or no special services at all? We are going to try and involve the children as much as possible and I have bought all of them toy shofars (oytoys.com).
Any suggestions or ideas on how to make an abreivated service meaningful?
