Luckily, I've taken a great deal of education courses and will receive my certification to teach in Secondary Schools by the end of the year, so I do have some "book-experience" on the matter.

I hope you enjoy your children's ministry, PV. It's arguably one of the most important parts of parish life.
Being a children's leader, though, I will not rush to congratulate you - maybe wish you good luck instead!

It really depends on the parents. If the parents have so far done a good job a parenting, I shouldn't have many problems. If not, then I am in for trouble.
Most of the paritioners are pretty "active," so I don't think I'll be in too much trouble. However, I know where to go to ask for any advice ;)

Funny you should say that - I've always wanted to write a book on parenting called What Would the Blessed Virgin Mary Do?

And her answer is saying "yes" to God and help save existence with Jesus by giving birth to Salvation, who is Jesus :)

Not the most useful bit of advice when it comes to things like teething or bedwetting, is it?
But it's such a lovely idea for a book!

Ah, you mean in truly motherly things...
The problem is, Jesus is Perfect, so no bedwetting, never felt the terrors of teething, and (to all other mothers' jealousy) never threw a tantrum. ;)

*sigh* And I had such great plans for the marketing tie-ins!
Oh well!
