Hello all!
I am currently in Dallas, TX with family - we live in Lake Charles,LA and evacuated a day early (intuition I guess) - anyways, if you've been watching you know that my city will most likely be one of the hardest hit from the storm (we're most likely going to be on the right side - the strong one)- please pray for the Lord's protection for my family and my home. All of my immediate family - as well as my wife's- live in the same area. Many are not evacuating as there is no place to go except out of state and no hotel rooms are guaranteed for several hundred miles. Prayers would be appreciated!

Oh gosh, I've been watching this closely since my husband just flew out of New Orleans a day earlier than scheduled. I will pray for you and your family and of course everyone affected. It sounds so scary.

You're actually the second person who I've corresponded with (You on a message board and another via private e-mail) who lives in the path of this hurricane. It doesn't seem fair that two hurricanes with such powers of devestation are going to hit the same state so closely together, even though it sounds as though this next one may be hitting a different region of Louisianna than the last one. You're all in my prayers.

Prayers ascending.

(I'm in Texas and my city is bursting at the seams with evacuees from both Rita and Katrina. It's heartwarming to see the outpouring of compassion - I only hope it doesn't dry out)

Almighty God, pour out Your Spirit on this family, let them be lifted up during this time, kept safe and secure in Your Love. May this be a time of strengthening for all of them, and bring them back safely to where you would have them be, in the Name of Christ, Amen

Hey all!! Thanks for prayers! I am very happy to report that all my family and my wife's have been accounted for and are doing fine. Those who stayed said it was a horrible storm and they are a bit frazzled - but ok nonetheless. The damage in Lake Charles has still not been reported - so we are waiting to hear or see what is going on there - but as long as all are safe - the rest can be rebuilt! Thnks for the prayers - it is only with the Lord's help that this massive storm did not take many lives.

Blessings,
Aaron
