Hello all,
I often hear the words, 'Lord's Day' in reference to Sunday. The only place that I have been able to find 'Lord's Day' in the Scriptures is Rev. 1:10 but I don't see the connection to Sunday.
Any help with this would be much appreciated.
Thank you!

Hello, patrici :)
The Lord's day (not to be confused with "The Day of the Lord") was a common expression used by the early church to describe Sunday--the day of worship and the day that Jesus rose from the dead.
You can find this expression in early Christian literature (e.g. the Didache, Ignatius, Melito of Sardes) as referring to Sunday.
Also, as you read in Revelation, John seems to be in a spirit or attitude of worship, which can be understood as Sunday (the primary day of worship). Some scholars have even concluded that Rev.1:1-8 is a form of an early Christian liturgy which would be used in Sunday worship.
So, the next time you go to Sunday service you are welcome to wish everyone a happy Lord's day. :)
