I think I read somewhere that the publisher with the current license to publish the NRSV translation is not going to sign a new contract and thus is slowly phasing out their line of NRSV bibles in anticipation of that event. Given the demand, one would assume a new publisher would get the rights to the NRSV translation, which might actually be a good thing, since they could potentially promote it a bit more than the current one does and offer a wider selection of editions. Anyhow, my recollection of reading this is kind of vague, so I may have a few of the details wrong, but hopefully I'm at least recalling the general gist of this correctly. :)

I can't find a NRSV in any of the bookstores here. I've been searching since May... same thing with the BCP. The bookstores have to place a special order (which adds to the retail cost), so it looks like i'll, if I decide to... purchase mine online. In fact most of the local bookstores (Christain) had never heard of the NRSV, only the NASB... and never the Book of Common Prayer! :(

When I was in San Antonio I found several BCP/NRSV hardbacks at Viva Books, a great Christian store that actually has an Anglicanism section!
