it kind of got lost in the other thread but the church which i prefer to attend and grew up with is an old church and we sing old hymns and have a sermon and sometimes psalms, we abide by rite b service if that means anything to you as i was given a prayer book after my confirmation many years ago now, holy communion at least once a month
i cant think what else i need to add right now
i cant attend my regular church as im living away from it these days and attend another church which chooses more modern hymns and we perform holy communion once a month if were lucky we i cant really abide by unfortunately :(

The question you ask makes me wonder why do you feel the need to pigeonhole yourself into a specific type of Anglican?
Anyway, it seems like you want to be traditional middle church. Not especially high church or low church. But I don't understand why you say that Holy Communion is at least once a month. Does this mean you attend at least once a month, or that the church has a holy communion service at least once a month. Most have Holy Communion at least once a week. That's why I don't understand that part.
This probably doesn't answer your question very well, but maybe the next person posting will do better! :)

Have a look at the thread (in Scripture, Tradition, Reason-Anglican) which is called "What is High Church and Low Church", where this topic is discussed in full. :)

You're welcome. Although you might not want to remain an Anglican after reading the debates on that thread! (Just kidding).

lmso!!!!
karen i agree with you on that!!!!
lmho
at least we can agree on something!
and dear dear poppy
if you are unsure just ask you priest of the church you attend which he is and the church is and then you have a clearer idea?
and if you are still unsure i suggest you go round and visit many different churchs and see for yourself which one you feel is right for you and your faith?
that way it is not the local church deciding for you its you deciding which church is right?
