i have to tell you about my son.....

my son was chatting to me last night, about heaven and hell, and church ,and good people and bad!
about god and jesus.
he is 9 years old and every night say's his,
mathew, mark, luke and john bless the bed that i lay on
prayer.
after he ask me a question?

is it true that all the angel's are god's army and all the priest's and vicar's and bishop's are god's workers?

yes i said, but found unbelievable, that his concept of god, and the church is so true...

mind you, i am a bit afraid now, that he thinks the angels go around in tanks, holding machine guns......

on a even funnier note he asked me, when he goes to the gates of heaven and meets st paul. and st peter. 'do they have a button?'

'a button' i asked 'what for?'

'to open the trap door !'
'making all the bad people fall down to hell!!!!'
'ahhhhhhhhhhh '
he said
'i am gonna make sure he dont press that when i go up ?'

'what you are gonna be good for ever' i asked?

'no i am gonna watch and before he presses it i will jump off the trap door !!!' he said

'you cant cheat' i answered! 'gods rules are to be followed and by doing so you get to heaven!'
'hes the dad of everyone and we are all his children and like you have to follow mine and dads(his father) rules you have to follow gods!'

'well' he said 'that is easy there are some of your rules i cheat on so i can cheat on gods rules too! '

wanting to laugh now i asked ' which rules of mine do you cheat on'

'well lets see' he replied ' cleaning my room'

'oh' i said 'it looks clean?' (and yes his room was infact spotless)

'well' he said 'i cheated?'

'how ?'

'i push everything under the bed and in the wardrobe!' he said laughing

'but tommorrow you will just have to do it again! but the different thing is you only have one life to follow gods rules you dont get a second go at it!'

god bless him!

has anyone else got interesting children stories?

Looks interesting, but I'm really struggling to decipher it... could you capitalise it properly, do you think?

Yeah, great story! Kids say the most interesting things about God. Mine have said loads of things, I just wish I could remember them all!
One thing comes to memory, when my son was only about three, playing "I spy with my little eye" (same as "I see something..." in the states). I wasn't there, but he was with his grandparents and some of their friends (who aren't church goers). He said " I spy with my little eye... something beginning with "G"". Well, they were in the conservatory, so you could see outside as well as inside, and the adults couldn't get the right answer for a good five minutes, so Daniel gave them a hint. He said, "It's all around us". Another 5 minutes and they couldn't get it, and he triumphantly said the answer is: God! The adults were all blown away with wonder.
