I am Anglican because I prefer the Western Liturgy to the Eastern one, and I really believe we only have a few choices if we want to be part of the faith Christ established, and that is one governed by Bishops in Apostolic succession - RCC, OO,OC,EO, or AC.
I don't find any of them perfect, and the AC, despite it troubles, has the most moving liturgy IMHO, and can, in certain parishes, teach the faith left to us.

Because I love Orthodox Catholicism, but in an English style :)

Because the Church captured the imagination of my heart, and never ceases to amaze me with the wonder, beauty, awe, and extreme reverence She shows Her Master. I had never experienced the Eucharist before I came to the Anglican Church, and once you have tasted Christ, you can never go back. Yes, She may have problems, but the Anglican Church has given me a home and a complete Faith that nobody else was able to give me. Not to mention, she gave me my Lord in a way that I had never experienced Him before. There is no more personal relationship with Christ than being united to Him physically and spiritually in the Blessed Sacrament.
Blessed be Jesus on His Throne of Glory, and in the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar!!

I'll chime in with my answer once I've finished eating dinner, but for now, I wanted to say this thread is quite beautiful and very moving. . .

The only reason to be in any Church is because God is there. Like to OP I feel called to service in an Apostolic Church (and can't speak enough Greek or Russian for the Holy Spiret to speak to me in Orthodoxy)
We go where God leads us, for many millions that is an Anglican (or Old Catholic) church!

I am Anglican because the church I go to happens to be Anglican.
I should add that I go to it because I feel comfortable there - I like the friendships, the worship, the teaching (Sunday and during the week) which enables me to grow in my faith, the support, the outreach.
I don't go for doctrine, dogma, political reasons. It matters not one iota to me what the history of the church is or the petty differences between the different wings of the church, and other denominations.

I am Anglican because I prayed to the Lord to put me on the path best suited to bring me closer to Him, and this is where he sent me. Now it is my duty to learn as much as I can and apply it in my life.

The liturgy!!
It's catholic without being legalistic.
It's traditional without being fussy.
It's modern without being modernistic.

I am Anglican because I love to revel in God's mystery. I also revel in God's history with human beings. I also revel in the spirit that moves through the historical experiences of the liturgy and inspires us to act in the present. I am Anglican because here my intellect and my love of God and other people are cherished and celebrated. I am drawn to the same love God has for all people, and I am amazed when so many different kinds of people come to God's table to be in that presence -- with God and with each other.

I'm Anglican because the Holy Spirit led me to this chuch, and I have grown to love it. I love it because it is inclusive, it exists for everyone. I love it because it is diverse! I love it because it includes people like all of YOU, who have differences in point of view! I love it because it has a long and colourful history!
(I had written a better answer than this, but then my computer crashed, and so I will leave it at this!)
God bless the WHOLE Anglican church! :amen:

I've given the long answer may times, so this time I'll go with the short answer. :) What makes Anglicanism so attractive to me is that it combines the best parts of both Catholicism and Protestantism while leaving out many of the parts of those faith traditions that I consider less than ideal. There also manages to be an atmosphere of radical love and inclusion without watering down the Christian tradition, in my view. It's a fine line to walk. Many churches manage to have the right rituals and say the right things, but miss out on the love that Christ taught, while others get the love and then lose the Christ part (i.e. The Unitarian Universalists, most of whom no longer refer to themselves as Christians). The Episcopal Church and many other Anglican churches manage to walk the line pretty well, in my opinion. :)
