Let's play a game:
Let's say that you are in horrific pain from a recent root canal, and not only in pain, but hungry because food with any sort of texture-even soft bread-makes the pain worse. Name some yummy things you could eat before you end up snapping at hubby and children and deeply regretting it once you return to your normal self.

Should we assume that this game is entirely hypothetical?

Or should we be offering prayers for your recovery, and lots of sympathy? :groupray:

Creme brulee, without the carmelized-sugar crust, served tepid.

Salmon mousse.

Preferably not together.

Rice pudding.

Boiled custard.

2 of my all time favorite foods are (and not just in an 'emergency') are:

Ice cream-- any kind

apple sauce--preferably with a sprinkling of cinnamon

Because I am on the run a lot and don't take time to eat (at least what I tell myself) I keep Slimfast shakes in the fridge. The "Rich Chocolate Royale" ones are really good-- but the new Optima versions of their shakes with less sugar are blaaaahhh..

Runny grits, lots of butter. good for the soul, too.

my mom used to give us milk toast, which was just toast, with warm milk and sugar. COMFORT!
