What do you do for fun?

I spend as much time with my wife and kids as I can. One son and daughter are into soccer right now and that is pretty fun.

For daddy time I enjoy reading...actual books....and playing video games (I'm currently in the middle of Star Wars:Knights of the Old Republic I).

One thing I just started is writing. I'm determined to write until I can get something published. Currently I'm working on a short story that I'm about a third of the way through.

Seriously, it was probably the first time that I stood up in front of a congregation to preach. I was extremely nervous and embarassed.

Good morning ksen, I can relate to that, I've been told I have the gift to gab:D , and guess I do, but to stand up in front of folks, makes me speechless.

Hmmm, probably a day where all of us sleep in and then go out and have a big breakfast together. After that the day would be one where I wouldn't burn to a crisp and we'd all go spend the day at the beach.

One Thanksgiving we used the local grange hall because our family was too big to fit in one house all at the same time. I think I was around 10 at the time.

I'm fascinated with the idea of doing it and I have lots of ideas in my head but to date I haven't completed any. :(

We are spending it home together.

Last year we stopped going to somewhere else for Thanksgiving and decided to start having dinner at our own house.

It was wonderful.

We will probably go over to a friend's house in the evening for dessert and to let the kids play.

I noticed your first instinct in this thread was to offer help, and I find that very refreshing. Do you find that offering help is its own reward, do you lean more toward a philosophy of "no good deed goes unpunished", or do you find some acceptable mixture of the two?
