Hello, I've been studying Orthodox Christianity for some time and I think the artwork and sculptures are pretty cool. Could anyone tell me what the religious letters & symbols in this icon mean?

I'm having a hard time figuring out whether I'm Catholic,Lutheran, or Othordox in the terms of origins.

What makes it unique?

How does my view of Christianity differ?

A lot of the images I've been studying on google search seem to be imprinted with hidden messages and meanings.

It seems to mean that Orthodoxy represents my view of how Christianity originated in terms ecclesiology and hierarchy, when the Gospel was spread to outer provinces, it seems that a astounding event took place which initiated the history.

Also, some of the high-ranking Bishops look extremely authentic and genuine and look like wise men.

I will adress the subject of that icon a little later when I have the energy needed to deal with it properly.

I've seen embossed relief icons... they're half way in botween 2-D and 3-D; perhaps that's what he meant?
