O Virgin, may the impious who refuse to bow down in sincere faith before thine image and that of thy Son, our God, be cast down and delivered to Gehenna!

I just LOVE the hymnography during Orthros! Anybody else have any texts they would like to share? It would be fun :)

Is it me, or is the Church of the past if much more... you know... politically incorrect...

I mean, there was no gentle way of putting things back then... They told you what they thought of you (when and if you decided to "think outside the square), and they did not care if you felt bad about it...

Heretics were heretics, schismatics were shismatics... and so on...

It seems to me that these days we are expected to thread gently, for someone might get offended...
