Hi everyone,
My name is Alisa and I have been browsing here for a while and finally decided to get the guts to join myself.
I am quite new to Orthodoxy so I hope you don't mind me being the annoying one with all the questions:confused: .
Thanks and nice to meet you all.

Welcome to TAW Alisa!!! You may ask us anything you like. I'm fairly new to orthodoxy myself, though I was Chrismated last year. This is a welcome post I give all new members to CF as it can get confusing navigating around this site sometimes.:) Any other questions you may have about CF may be posted here (http://www.christianforums.com/f398-questions-about-cf.html). You may of course PM me any time you like too.
Please check out the posts on the Relaxation (http://www.christianforums.com/f8-relaxation.html), Hobbies (http://www.christianforums.com/f178-hobbies.html), Personal (http://www.christianforums.com/f105-personal.html), Entertainment (http://www.christianforums.com/f251-entertainment.html), Music (http://www.christianforums.com/f198-music.html), Society (http://www.christianforums.com/f139-society.html) and Outreach (http://www.christianforums.com/f272-outreach.html) sections of this forum to get acquainted with your type of friends.
Navigating is easy from the User CP button (http://www.christianforums.com/usercp). Also check out Armor (http://www.christianforums.com/armor)(That is where you can build the little doll character you may see at the left of many posts) and Custom (http://www.christianforums.com/custom). You may also click on any person’s name on the Left of a Post to ‘Bless’ them, PM them or read their Profiles. You can also ‘Bless’ someone by clicking on the Heart/Cross Icon and you can give someone “Reputation” (Repping) by clicking on the little Hand Icon at the top right of a post.
Blessings are the currency of CF. You get one blessing every time you post. You may also play games to win Blessings, or you can donate to CF and you get 100 Blessings per US Dollar.
You can use blessings to buy a personalized avatar, or if you wish to change the way anything on your posts looks,or build a doll character like at the left, it costs you Blessings. Health stays 100% if you post about 5 times a day. If you don’t post for a while, it goes down.

The Book of Satan
When Muhammad crawled into his cave
Did Satan’s Lieutenant Beelzebub have a book?
Stretched out upon time could evil counter the Bible?
What lie must now be conceived to seal a following
Did Anton LaVey read the Koran?
Is not Islam as redundant as the Mayan culture, Greek Mythology, Egyptian Polytheism, Roman false Gods and India’s 1000 demonic idols?
Well read between the lines, and then don’t be fooled!
For Islam is lame Lucifer!
Therefore, the true author of the Koran whom is Satan proclaims with his book to mock the Trinity!
Islam
Your carpet like incense of deceit
Muhammad rushes to violence with his feet
Infidels and the Koran of lies
Soon sorrow is what Allah Muhammad shall reap
How many have you blinded Beelzebub
Live by the sword die by my pens snub
Take thy blade out of my back
My eyes are aware of your false club
Your turbans and opiates
Operatives the demons counsel of associates
While Belial meditates
Muhammad you fool
Prostrate before God not Allah the mule
Christ is above all in Peace
Yet the Koran is a spiteful tool
I blow my horn
The Dome of the Rock on the Mount is torn down
I see you crows once again across 1000 years
Ball Allah Muhammad the forlorn

I love it when someone asks questions. It helps me to learn and grow more in my Orthodox understanding. I would encourage you however to visit an Orthodox Church and ask questions of the Priest. Keep in mind that we are all just lay people and not experts.
I suggest that you get a note book and every single question you ask us, you write down in the notebook. Then later when you can ask a Priest, you ask him all of the same questions. Take our answers very lightly and his as the full answer.
Also, visiting a Divine Liturgy (our "Sunday" service) is the best way to know about Orthodoxy. We are not a faith built on a scientifically defined theology or belief system as much as a faith that is to be experienced in person.

Love is a daisy, turned into a weed, which blossoms into a Rose
Ancient fragrance of innocent youth
Oh how you shine you the glory of time
Eloquent heart proclaims tender truth
This love sets me at ease for joy you bind
The light of mercy that became a weed for me
All that pain lifted off me by Jesus on a tree
Forgive me I believe in yea
God you care for me
How might I serve thee?
Oh those depths you saved me from
Never depart our hearts become one
After three days you came back
Care and compassion of a dove
Jesus the rose of love
