Yahoo question

Just a little question. Right at this minute I am logged into my Yahoo messenger, but in my profile it indicates that I am off line. It always indicates that I am off line, even when I am on-line. Do you know of any reason this would be happening? Not a big deal, just wondering.

When you log into Yahoo Messenger, do you log in "Invisible mode"?

That would make you appear offline to people even on your list of friends I think...which might also make you look off-line in your profile.

Thanks AngelAmidala and Erwin! I even tried downloading the newest version of Yahoo messenger last evening, but that didn't help.

Maybe it is just one of those quirks! It really isn't a problem for me, I was just wondering if it was something I was doing wrong.

Hmmm.....just tried this out and at least it's not working for me.

Sorry to report it is not working for me either. I am on line with Yahoo but my profile still shows that I am off line.

Well, I have to say that I don't know how to fix it - it seems Yahoo has changed the way it tells this site whether you are online or offline. :( Sorry... hopefully it's not too big a problem.

I investigated with the developers of this software.

Make sure that your privacy setting in your Yahoo IM is switched off. If it is already off, and it's still not working, then it's a problem with Yahoo.

It's working now! Maybe I just had to log in again. But whatever it is, it works!
