My major is Communications Media. So more than likely I hope to be the head of a newspaper or magazine at some point in my life. :)
I really want to work with a Christian magazine, but I plan to start off with newspapers since I'm most familar with them. :)

How did you become a puppy for Christ?
Do you mean how did I become a Christian or why did I pick my name?
I know that puppies and newsprint have a long illustrious history. What do you chiefly use newsprint for these days? And do you feel electronic media will replace printed media?
Well as far as layout for my high school newspaper we used PageMaker. But my college newspaper uses something different. I can't quite recall the name of it, but it starts with a Q. It's like PageMaker but it's a little more advanced.
And I defenitly think electronic media will replace printed media in some way. With all this new technology coming at us everyday of our lives, pretty soon, I believe anyway, electronic media will replace print. I can see the pros and cons of this situation because I know print media people will end up losing their jobs. But electronic media isn't too hard to learn and become attached to. I mean, even newspapers and magazines that are printed use technology to print them and lay them out.
So that's what I think. I can see both sides. :)
Did you play sports in school?
Yes I did. I played basketball for three years and I loved it. It got very frustrating sometimes though, I remember getting a few technicals before, but I did make a 3-point shot before which was the highlight of my basketball years. :) I might play intermural basketball here at my college, but I'm waiting until I get adjusted to college first before I get back into playing again. I stopped playing in 9th grade because I had gotten a job and I needed to focus more time on that then basketball.

Okay. Here goes.
In December of 2001 I was talking to a friend of mine over AIM, and we for some reason got into the subject of religion.
Now, back then, I was not a Christian, but an Athiest. Maybe closer to Agnostic though.
Anyway, the point being that my friend was a Christian and I was not at the time, and she was trying to prove to me over AIM that God was there and was real. Eventually I sent her a message back saying that God was not real and all that stuff, but it was really harsh, and it really upset her and caused her to sign off AIM without saying goodbye.
I felt really bad about making her mad so I tried to apologize to her at school the next day, but she brushed me off. She was really mad.
I ended up IMing her that night asking if we could talk about the day before. We talked it out and I apologized for my actions. But my friend would not stand for just an apology. She told me that she really wanted to prove to me that God was real, so she invited me to her Methodist church that Sunday. I really didn't want to go, but I didn't want to upset her and make her mad at me again if I said no. So I agreed to go.
Since it was close to Christmas, I had to attend two services plus Sunday School, because my friend was singing carols in the choir. (The services were the same)
During the first service, I was determined to not let God into my heart, so I refused to sing the hymns or pay attention to the Pastor when he preached. But I wasn't sucsessful in that. Because after the service was over we went to Sunday School, and I just broke down in front of my friend's Sunday School group. I told her that maybe she was right. Maybe there was a God afterall. And I can still remember the biggest smile she had on her face when I told her that.
After I calmed down we went to the second service, and this time I payed attention to the Pastor and sang the hymns with my friend. I felt a relieved kind of feeling that I had never felt before when I got home after that. I'll never forget that.
For the next six months afterwards I spent reading a children's Bible (Because I didn't understand the Bible real well), praying, and being helped out by my friends. Even my non-Christian friends helped out. My one friend who is a Wiccan gave me her Bible (she used to go to church and was a Christian) to borrow and read. She told me she was so proud of me that I was finding something to believe in.
After those six months of learning and advice and talking with my own Lutheran Pastor at the church I used to go to with my mom when I was a toddler, I really accepted God into my heart and I haven't looked back since then.
Okay so that's my testimony, now my name:
I chose PuppyforChrist as my username not entirely because I love puppies. :)
Puppies are young dogs right? Well, I consider myself a young Christian because it's only been three years since I accepted God into my heart. So my username basically means a young Christian who loves Christ. :)
