How did you come up with your screen name?

By trial and error - I was trying to get an MSN screen name that wasn't taken and ended up going through random words - Can't quite remember how Buttermilk ended up in my list of random words LOL
When I registered I just decided to use my MSN name as my screen name.

What's it like where you live? I always thought that Scotland sounded like such a romantic place to live, lol.

Its great when its not raining LOL.
I live close to Glasgow, the biggest City although not the capital (Edinburgh's the capital), so I have the best of both worlds, close to a City but also close to our wonderful countryside - which is great since I list walking as one of my hobbies LOL
Some people think we live in the dark ages, but no, we have electricity and the internet ;)
Culturally we are different to England, and IMHO we are probably most like Ireland.

Ireland is another one of those romantic sounding places. I'd love to visit both countries someday...too bad I HATE flying, lol.

I see the forums listed in your signature. Does any of them represent a special hobby, or maybe all of them are your favorite past time?

A few - I'm more into Long Distance Walking / Backpacking though.
I help a Duke of Edinburgh group with their expeditions.
My major achievement this year to date though was climbing Stand in Switzerland - I stood on the top of Stand ^_^ (roughly 7000 ft) (didn't climb the whole 7000ft though, just a couple of thousand ;))

When you say tapestries are they small/med/large. What are they made of and do you sell them or gifts or keep them for yourself?

Cross-stitch is done using thread usually and half cross-stitch is done in wool. They are in various sizes - I don't do that many and they take me a long time (I don't have much spare time to do them :D) so I keep them for myself :D

The walk up Stand wasn't an expedition per ce, it was a day walk, although we did do six day walks in a row (walking holiday :D), so I supose it equates to a long distance walk ^_^
Got another walking holiday in the South of England in a fortnight's time :D
