C'mon, admit it, y'all love Harry Potter. Tell whaddya think about book #6? Throw in your own theory about Dumbledore/Snape/ol' Voldy.... ;)
For one: for a long time I thought Snape was the bad guy until this book, and since reading several theories, I think he's the good guy, because why else would he pass on tips to Harry to learn how to shut up and close his mind?
Snape: is he for evil, or is he for good?

Lori, you know my answer to this one, lol. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, Harry Potter.
Snape is good...Dumbledore had a plan...Voldemort is in big trouble next book...it's all coming together (although is IS pretty messy).
I love book 6...it's my 2nd favorite...Azkaban is my #1...Goblet is my 3rd.

The Goblet is by far the funniest I've read, and HBP comes in second...why does Ron always gets the best lines?! LOL POA is the best one about Harry's hope that he will live with Black, but in the end, he ends up living with the Dursleys.
I HATE HATE OOTP, because they killed off Sirius Black.

I'm leery of the concept. I'll admit they're entertaining though, the movies.

That's what I believe, too. Dumbledore had a plan. What do you think the plan could be, cuz I'm kinda at a loss as to seeing how this is going to be played out.

I love Harry Potter, too. I've not yet read book six, though, so I'm not reading all the posts thoroughly. ..I don't want any spoilers, so when I see any theories and such, I don't tend to read any further. . .I stop right there. HBP is the next book I'll be reading, though.

Seen all the movies, read all the books. I finished number 6 in less than 30 hours (and yes, that includes sleep). :D As for Snape well, I don't know if he's really good or bad . . . I think he might be bad though.

Ron has good lines, but Fred and George BY FAR get the funniest lines IMO. I'm literally laughing out loud at some of the things they say in the books.
Jenda, you should come over and visit us in the Book Club HBP thread. You can read all kinds of fascinating little theories.

I'd have to say that I'm getting rather ticked off at JKR, though.
I might have to come visit the book club thread, too. It seems like I never have time to visit the forums for enjoyment, though. :|
Although I thought that books five and six were well written, I hated the ending of both books. :(

I'm absolutely positive I would love the books, but with my Bible, Bible courses, and the big pile of computer books I have, I'm not sure I'll ever give myself the time to read them, hehe Still... I'm gonna try to make some time for them some time soon.

Yeah, I just couldn't find the time to do my daily Bible readings, but I sure found time to read the last book (which was ~800 pages) in less than a week. :o

You sounds like my hubby...he never has time to sit and read for enjoyment (he's a network tech/programmer) and if he does, he's asleep within minutes, lol.
I read the Harry Potter books to him on our road trips. It helps him stay awake, it keeps our girls asleep, lol, AND he keeps farily caught up on what's going on in the series. I'm in the middle of reading Book 5 to him right now. It's killing me that I can't talk to him about what happens in #6, but he'd KILL me if I spoiled it for him, lol.

Harry Potter was really good!
Here's my theories, though. Dumbledore is dead. Otherwise the spell wouldn't have broken that was holding harry.
Snape is EVIL! I never really liked him! Trying to recall back to the book, didn't dumbledore look shocked when snape walked in the room? He wasn't expecting it!
It's late right now, I can't think of the name, but I want to know the name/game of the guy who was after the horcruxes!

Hey Lori
I love the Harry Potter books!! Each time one comes out, I tell my friends not to call me because I will be reading for the next day or so. :)
I think Snape is a good guy. What it comes down to is that Dumbledore is the wisest of the wizards, and he fully trusted Snape. Even when no one understood how he can trust Snape, he did, but for some reason he could not explain why. Perhaps he and Snape had a confidential understanding? I think that Snape's superiority in occulemency (sp?) and his apparent loyalty to Voldemort will be the only way the good wizards can destroy the horcruxes. I think that Harry's hatred of Snape will have to be dealt with, it will be one of the most interesting parts of the next book. How can Harry trust the man he saw kill Dumbledore, who for all intents and purposes, was Harry's adoptive father?

hey, PS139! Welcome back! I think what you said about Snape/Dumbledore makes perfect sense....but I worry about Harry's hatred would blind him to what Snape's really trying to do. I just hope that Harry would realize, and soon, before he even try to battle ol' Voldy.
Now, if I can just figure out the remaining two horcruxes....from the house of Hufflepuff and Griffyindor.... ergh.

rowling's never really mentioned any artifacts from the hufflepuff and griffyndor houses. except for griffyndor's sword from the second book but i highly doubt voldy got a hold of that early on.

if you think that's bad, I had a fascination with Snape....wondering if he's really loyal to Hogwarts/Dumbledore or to ol' Voldy. A very complex character....Draco's just a boy, he's got a lot of growing up to do; there's no layering to peel away, and he haven't done as much as Harry, or Snape have done. :P Now, I'm really anxious in the last book how Snape will turn out.
And...the actor, Alan Rickman, playing Snape did a great job interpreting "Snape" to a T.
Hey, does anyone know when movie #4 is coming out?

The Hufflepuff artifact is the cup, isn't it? It was mentioned in HBP in the memory when Tom first sees the Slytherin locket...the same old lady who owned the locket also owned the cup.
Ravenclaw though...I have no clue. Hehe, maybe it'll be Cho...I'm ready to get rid of her anyway. ;)
