Here are some pics from my mission trip. Some are from the states. The camera with most of my pictures of the Natives are on my other camera yet to be developed, when those get developed I will post them.
The first picture is and of me and the fellas chopping down firewood for the winter. From Left to right. Francis, Peter, Bob, Me (like my hat?)
The second pic is right after a bible study I conducted. Whenever they hear the word of God they like to wrestle cuz they are so excited.
The third is me in front of a Nuclear Missile Silo in Motana, The sign reads yadda yadda yadda... Deadly force authorized!
The 4th is Gracie holding a lot of little kids. She is an MK (missionary daughter) and these kids always come over, daily.
The 5th is again after bible study and now we are playing risk. From Left to right you got Corey, Darcy Shalinda, Ricky, Kevin, Brendan (couch) and Peter.

Lots of good memories there for you, thanks for sharing. Question
after this trip who follows on to make sure that the seed is well grounded?

The man in this picture, James McCray. He will be up there at the very least two years but plans to stay his entire life. He will be serving under another missionary who has been there about 12 years. :)

Hi
I've been talking to a lot of people of various missions around the world. I'm curious if you could tell me the missionary group you work with, assuming it is a large one? Thanks! :)
No Stray, I will not. I have been forwarded a copy of a PM or two that has given me reason to doubt your statement very much. As such, I do not feel it would be acting with wisdom to disclose this information. No offense.

Well, I have no idea which mission you're talking about, and I'd be very curious. There's a lot of mission groups, and I always like to know more about them.

The mission is pretty tight nit and widely known. Perhaps you've heard of them: The Great Commission, Matthew 28:18-20 ;)
Simple as that.

Oh, not a specific group? Nevermind; I'd gotten the impression this was a specific organization.

It is a specific organization, whom I worked along side but I am not going to identify which one because I do not think it is wise to do so for personal reasons. In the end it all comes down to what I posted above.

So what faith did these people have before your mission? Were they Islamic? Jewish? Hidui?

That was part of what I was curious about, too. I know mission trips to China can be particularly weird because there are people there who have never really even heard of supernaturalist beliefs; they know there are "Christians", but they are not aware that Christians believe in some kind of supernatural entity.

Interesting. I have never been quite familiar with China's beliefs.
I just know that missionairies can have an exceedingly difficult time trying to convert Muslims because of their completely different mindset and outlook on life. I guess really goes for any non-Christian religion.
But who says that missionairy work is supposed to be easy? :)

China as a whole doesn't have beliefs, although the government is at least sometimes aggressively atheist... But mostly they just don't like competing power structures. They have a movement called "Falun Gong" which is vaguely spiritual. Lots of Buddhists, who are tolerated because they don't particularly make trouble.

Some are already Baptist, a couple in those pics were Catholic, a couple are agnostic mixed with spirtist.
The muslims are further south, and I do not know of any jewish communities though I am sure there are. I did meet 1 hindi lady named Kushalani, nice lady.

I noticed you've got a censer there TLE. Have you begun to appreciate liturgical worship?

In the OT incense was symbolic of prayers rising to heaven. It fits with my profile pic and its note.
