Despite Americans' religious tendencies, most in fact, have an unbiblical worldview. Yet, funnily enough, many also feel as if God accepts them just as they are. A deadly assumption to make indeed.

That's scary. I have noticed that a lot of the sins I repented of when I got saved have since been downgraded in many churches. I wonder if the church has truly become complacent or if the world has become the church.

I think we, the world, have gotten "used to" all the things that formerly were sins or outrageous behaviours. Things that our grandparents would never have imagined being accepted are everyday behaviours now. That's what makes it so hard for people to submit to God and His authority. We think those things are "old-fashioned" or "too strict". God doesn't get old-fashioned, does He?

God Bless

I agree, my brother, but I in no way see this as an American issue. I have traveled in "christian" Europe extensively and saw the very same problems there.
Sin and apostasy is not restricted by national borders I'm afraid.

Isn't the falling away / apostacy as precursor to the end of time? Maybe this is what we are realizing? Just a thought.
