Not only has the Christian Church misunderstood the concept of Torah by referring to it as a "law" but they have also misunderstood that the New Testament books are Torah, too!

Torah is God's instructions. There were Torah in the garden, Torah for Abraham, even Torah for the angels. The NT books are also Torah!

I believe that if the Christian Church learns that the whole Bible is Torah, they wouldn't get so jumpy when someone genty urges them to read OT Torah! After all, how many NT passages were derived from OT Torah in the first place?

That's true, the New Testament is filled with quotations from the Old.:)

It is like Moses coming down the Mount Sinai to explain what God said. We all need to go up the Mount and learn at the feet of Yeshua, then there would be no dividing of the Word of God into this or that.

It ws Yeshua who gave the Torah in the wilderness. Why does this always escape everyone? He Gave us Torah and then he said it will never be abolished.

Not only was it Yeshua that gave Torah in the wilderness, He wrote it before the foundations of the world were laid.

1(A (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=50&chapter=1&version=49#cen-NASB-26046A))In the beginning was (B (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=50&chapter=1&version=49#cen-NASB-26046B))the Word, and the Word was (C (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=50&chapter=1&version=49#cen-NASB-26046C))with God, and (D (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=50&chapter=1&version=49#cen-NASB-26046D))the Word was God.

2He was in the beginning with God. 3(E (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=50&chapter=1&version=49#cen-NASB-26048E))All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being.

My understanding is that the "NT" is 85% "OT."

I have said this before and share it again,(And hope it does not get me into trouble again!)

Without the Old Testament, the New testament is just a first century copy of the National Equirer. Think of it, if someone had found the N.T. and read some of the following,

"Man feeds 500 families with a boys lunch and takes up 12 backets full of leftovers"

"Man from Galil, raised a man who was dead 4 days"

"Man from Galil is seen walking on the water of the sea."

"Jesus turns water into the best wine ever tasted."

"Water walking prophet from Galil tortured and killed and three days later seen in Jerusalem by 500 people!"

"Prophet from Natzareth seen going up into heaven, witneses say."

It is all quite unbelievable isn't it. It fits right in there with "Woman gives birth to three headed Alien Baby."

What makes the N.T. valid and trustworthy is the Old Testament. It is the foundation, the standard, the bench mank. It validates everything that is truth and comes after it. Our faith is gone without the Old Testament. If we destroy the Old testament by saying it is no longer valid, then we also destroy everything that is built upon it including our own salvation and the existance of God and who he says that he is.

All we would be left with is the 1st Century copy of the National Inquirer.
