When I was a Kid the A&P grocery used to advertise and sell, Kosher Virginia Smoked Hams. WHAT? Someone didn't know what Kosher really was. Either that or the pigs were raised on Matzah and never ate shell fish. More of the confusion of the greater Torahless world.

At that time by the way, you had to buy your "Kosher ham" by saturday because all the stores were closed by law on Sunday in honor of the "Sabbath". Oh Man (Oi Vey) don't get me started.

Hahaha,
I shouldn't be suprised. For them it would be easier than just doing what the Lord said.
When you go to a restaurant down here the menue is filled with unclean food, crawdads, frogs, aligator, clams, and every part of the pig you can imagine in gravy except the squeel. It is pretty sad. Almost every vegatable served has bacon on it or bacon fat in it. You have to be really careful where you eat and what you eat.

Okay guys and gals I know its easy to generalize alot of christian churches ( not saying your not christians but you know what i mean). But alot of people in my church are truly into kosher. And it hurts a little when you all generalize us, i mean i guess you have reason to but just please dont put us all under the same heading. We love you.

This is why we stop eating out.

1) The meat is not kosher

2) They lay the beef where the just laid the gator tail.

3) They lay the beef on the grill where they just took off a slab of pork ribs.

4) Etc…

And we don’t have a Kosher Restaurant within 100 miles of us. We dont eat out.

To me, to "generalise" means "many, but not all".

And it's much easier than trying to name all the individual groups one is refering to...even then, there would no doubt be someone within one of those groups would pipe up an objection.

It's like saying, generally, most MJ's keep kosher. It means, that most do, but we know that some dont.

Shalom,
