We did this over at STR and I thought maybe the folks here could have fun with it:
The church was so liberal that....so conservative that...(game)
(Let's play and make these up as we go along):
The church was so liberal that:
They did the Macarena during the Peace, in fact it became called "The Peacerina!"
The church was so conservative that:
The ushers wore police type unforms and badges that said USHER.
So liberal that:
The organist played "Inna Gadda Da Vida" as the prelude and "Louie Louie, we gotta go now" as the dismissal.
So conservative that:
During the sermon someone shouted, "Amen" and the priest lost his train of thought.
And this one is so good I have to mention it, from benedictine:
so liberal that:
the processional hymn was rapped by the deacon, wearing a liturgical doo-rag
so conservative that:
the staff meetings were held in Aramaic
