O Lord who are Creator of heaven and earth, we ask that you will provide safe passage to the crew of the Discovery. We beseech thee for thy succor, that Thou will bring them home safe to their families and grant unto them wisdom, that their trip may be successful. For Thou are the Lord of all, and through thee all things are possible. We praise Thee and worship thee, and we ask for these things in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Any word on the Shuttle?

UPDATE: They're not landing today because of bad weather in Florida. They'll be coming back tomorrow.
Lord, have mercy.

I was awakened early this morning - sometime around 5 am with the double sonic boom of the shuttle re-entry. It was a time to rejoice and pray for them...
We live a few miles from Edwards Airforce Base and so everytime a shuttle comes to California we are greeted with the sonic boom. I was hoping they would come to sunny Southern California due to the weather conditions at Florida.

Personally, I'm hoping that this is the last shuttle mission for a long time. Sending outdated and unsafe vehicles into space just to show other countries that we still can is very Soviet, and should be below a country like ours. But then again, I also think the moon landing was a hoax and that the whole space program is a front for money laundering, so what do I know? ;)

I with you on that one. :)
I'm glad they made it home safely.
