I think I got my first message from God since I've been saved!!! well, the first one I can really explain.
oh my gosh you guys.... I had to come on and tell you something totally amazing!!!
it's 4am my time, and I just woke up chanting "EZEKIEL, EZEKIEL" I have never heard that word before, and I was afraid of what it might mean, so I came and looked it up:
Ezekiel: In Babylon, three prophets of this name were among the captive Israelites. This Hebrew name means "God make me stronger".
I am in aw right now!!! I prayed last night that God would give me the strength I need for Jon's situation!!! (see my thread titled "please pray for my son" My son is in juvenille Hall right now, and first thing in the morning, he has his court date)
I am so excited right now, I dont know if I can even go back to sleep!!!
   :pink:
Edit to add.... LOL now that I'm fully awake, I just realized it's the name of one of the books in the Bible... maybe I'm suppost to read it?

God speaks to us in many ways. And it always leaves us feeling so blessed when he does. Will continue to pray for you and your son.

My Faith is 100 times stronger today than it was yesterday!!! God DID give me the strength I needed today to stand my ground on what I KNOW my son needs right now!!!
Today was Jon's court hearing... the judge wanted me to take him home on house arrest for 2 weeks until his next hearing... I told him I couldn't do that. I couldn't guarantee that Jon would follow the program, and I don't want to be responsible for him not following through once again.
a couple weeks ago, I had Jon arrested for stealing from me, and destroying property in the house. Instead of probation, they sent us to a diversion program, which I was very happy about, we were going to start parent-teen mediation, and saturday we were suppost to go to an all day work shop to learn how to communicate... well, Jon didn't come home friday night, and stayed gone all day saturday, so we missed the workshop. I told the judge that Jon wasn't invested in anything, because his consequences havn't been severe enough.
after talking to his lawyer, and the probation officer, I explained to them that my son needs more help than I can give him at home for 2 weeks. I requested a psych eval, and they agreed, because they have talked to him, and some stuff he talks about concerns them (they wouldn't tell me what that was).
anyway.. to make a long story even longer, the judge agreed that he shouldn't come home, and he will stay in juvenile hall for 2 more weeks until him hearing... today he plead guilty, which was a relief, because he's never accepted responsibility. They told me he will prolly be sentenced to a year probation. which is great, because then he HAS to go to school, which he hasn't been doing, and he HAS to be home by 10pm everynight, which he hasn't been doing, and he will be drug tested!!!
I know what is happening is the right thing... I hope it helps him change his ways.
I was able to visit with him for a while, and he understands why I couldn't take him home. He also wants to be evaluated for mental health, he told me for the first time that something is wrong with him, but he doesn't know what. He also told me that they are allowed to have only one book in their room (he LOVES reading), unless they want a Bible too, then they can have 2.... he said he got a Bible and is going to read it!!!!
Praise the lord!!!
Thank you all for your prayers!!!!
