Question please: Rev chapter 5, John sees a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, WHO IS WORTHY TO OPEN THE BOOK, AND TO LOOSE THE SEALS THEREOF? verse 3 states [b] AND NO MAN IN HEAVEN, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.[/]
I am not allowed to answer my own questions that I think aloud and post here because there are those that do not believe I am a Christian. So my question is directed to those that call themselves Christian. The question is forthcoming.
IF, in verse 3 as it states...there is NO MAN worthy.....how could that be if trinitarian believers believe that Jesus was begotten from eternal past? This would mean that THERE WAS SOMEONE worthy in Heaven to open, right?
another question... verse 5 of the same chapter states WEEP NOT...behold the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof. Would not this mean that Jesus the Messiah prevailed through his death and resurrection to be Worthy to open the book?
so please help me to understand the trinity doctrine when verse 3 states there was NO MAN worthy....would this not tell us that Jesus was NOT preexistent? If he was then he would be worthy, yes? Please help clarify Christians.....
Nonchristians you may have pondered this as well.
