Hey Ya'll,

I know this seems like a crazy question, but how do I change the home page on my internet? Right now it is on one schools website, but since I am transfering to their arch enemy school, it probably wouldn't be good to have that.

I have IE.

I have IE.

Whatsa IE? ^_^

I think what you do is go to the top of your page and click on tools, select internet options. You will see a box open and at the top is where you change it, I'ver never done it though so it might be a good idea to check with a real genius and not rely on an "OT"

Go to your "Tools" menu at the top and click on it. Then look for Internet Options and click on it. You should should have a window open that will let you change your homepage there.

Or, if you want to be really geeky about it, you can open your registry, and edit HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> Microsoft -> Internet Explorer -> Main -> Start Page. Then just type over the old value with the URL for the page you want to be your new start page.

See how easy that was? ^_^

But then again, the suggestions everyone else gave you would probably be easier.

An even better option... get a real browser and stop using Internet Exploder! :D

I like my Internet Explorer thank you very much! It is compatible with all of the college stuff. I've tried having other browsers and they dont work on the school network efficiently. Like if you have Netscape then you cant get the school stuff very well (e-mail, class organizer, classwork, etc).....if you have Mozilla Firefox then you can get all the school stuff, but if you need to navigate away from there, hahahahaha, it doesn't work well at all.

Internet Explorer is what they tell us to have when we start there. It is compatible with all of their requirements and safety measures.

I do understand; It is so much easier to go along with the crowd. Especially when the crowd holds all the cards. That describes M$ pretty well!

But one thing struck me as quite funny:
"It is compatible with all of their requirements and safety measures." ^_^ ^_^ ^_^
That's like showing up at a gunfight with only a pair of brass knuckles! ^_^ ^_^

LOL! Actually the University requires that we add a bunch of anti-everything to our computers if we want it to be networked. So thats why I HAVE to have Internet Explorer.
