hey guys i was just wondering if psychology is a bad thing to want to do in my future?? does it go against god or something?

why is psychology bad? what makes you think God wouldn't like it?
i've a cousin who did psychology but ended up working in the marketing field.. ha... oh and she's a Christian.

I believe psychology is misunderstood by a lot of people. I don't think there is anything wrong with psychology.
Luke was a doctor and we don't think he's a kook.

I agree Mr. Cheese. But just because Matthew was a tax man, it does not mean that I look forward to tax' season. ;)

My oldest daughter just got her degree in Psychology and is working on her Master's now. She intends to go into school counseling.

I can't see any way in which psychology is "against God". Studying creation is a good way to learn about God, and people are part of creation.

Maybe people are not well acquainted with the particulars of the field of Psychology. So they only go by what little they have heard, be it negative or positive.

Psychology is nothing more than the study of how the brain affects a person's behavior.  Although it can be and often is sorely misused, I don't see anything inherently wrong with it.

I believe that you're thinking of neuro-psychology, which is a very important branch of psychology, but not the only one.

I agree that there is nothing inherently wrong with psychology.
