I am a returning Catholic and my husband is getting interested in becoming Catholic. He has problems with what he considers worshipping Mary. I am having trouble explaining it to him. Can anyone recommend a book that I can give him that would better explain the Church's position on Mary? Thanks!

I would try,
"A Biblical Defense of Catholicsm" by David Armstrong. He also has a sequel. It's very well done.
Also, www.catholic.com (http://www.catholic.com) has a ton of tracts on Mary.

Thanks! I'll check it out.
Back -- it was great! I found several things that I will have to tell him about.

hail holy queen would be good. I would also get "Catholic for a reason TWo: Scripture and the Mystery of God" by Leon Supernant JR. Hope this helps.

Dr. Mark is awesome! Contrary to popular belief, he, not Dr. Hahn, is the most sought after professor at Steubie, he is awesome!
He also gives awesome homilies (he is a deacon) at St. Peter's Church in Steubenville (the winner, hands down, of the most beautiful NO liturgy I've seen).
