I come from a Church of Christ background. It's very legallistic, and I didn't like it. So now I go to a non-denominational church, and it's great! There are no "extra" laws, like no music, and no hand raising. It's fun!
If you came from a different background, what was it?

The first church I remember going to was a United Church of Christ. Not to bad other than the fact that their were two groups within the church. Those who had money and those who didn't. I never truely like the church for that reason. Now I attend a United Methodist Church and I love it. The people are friendly and the message is right on.

Not to get off topic but the United Church of Christ has recently said Homosexuality is okay. o_O Does anyone who goes there believe that?

The Church of Christ IS non-denominational. :) Some make it a denomination (i'm not saying you do, i mean people within the Church of Christ) but it's not. The United Church of Christ and the Church of Christ ARE NOT the same thing, just in case anyone thought that. I'm a member of the Church of Christ and we follow the Bible and only the Bible. We obey it and follow it as closely as we know how. I'm sorry you had a bad experience with it, or at least one you didn't necessarily enjoy, but we're not a denomination. :)

I come from a wild mix of denominations, I've been involved in everything from lutheranism to pentecost...ality?
But I left all that and abandoned christianity altogether. That's not to say I don't believe the same as many/most christians, I just refuse to live according to creeds and man's teachings. I broke free from the bondage that the whole christianity thing had me in.
Jesus > christianity.
