Several threads have been closed here with this preamble.

:CLOSED: Roman Infallibility

This thread is closed due to Forum Specific Rule #3 - We will not, out of respect for our brothers and sisters in Christ, debate their doctrine

Therefore I have initiated this poll. I myself do not see how fusing pagan and christian beliefs makes one a brother in Christ, or kissing muslim holy books. I trust the mods will adhere to the views of the body and reopen the threads once their claim has been discounted.

Greetings fellow Gael!

If persons vote 'no' he gets his threads reopened because he actually has not mentioned any Christians in his posts?

He is persistent in a way, obnoxious to some but persistent.

Well, I assuredly cannot vote no. You can try and guess how I voted!

I am convinced there are Christians who have a good understanding of the Roman Catholic Church, and disagree with some of its doctrine. I don't think I have ever come across someone who is vehimently anti-catholic who has any sense of Christianity. People who hold the idea that Catholics are not Christian has neither an understanding of Christianity nor any desire to learn about it. The close minded logic generally follows the most ridiculous statement, such as, "I can't find the Pope Pope in my bible, so they must be of the devil." In addition, their thinking on the matter is so hazy that typically Anglicans and Eastern Orthodox are thrown into the mix as being crypto-Roman or Papist.

This is a preposterous statement.
And, it certainly isn't funny.
Do you really think ANYONE thinks good incense and sanctus bells offer salvation?
Obviously you do.
If you are really interested in Christ, why don't you learn more about the Church he started?

, "I can't find the Pope Pope in my bible, so they must be of the devil." .

Hi there:wave:

If you cant find something in the bible that was allegedly there from the birth of the church then either:

1) There are huge gaps in the bible

2) This thing was not there from the birth of the church

If catholics like having a pope then great, Im absolutely 100% happy for them:thumbsup: couldnt be happier for them. But when they start twisting around bible verses to try and say theres always been a pope then  . why cant we all get along and face reality; Popes came in the middle ages, if catholics want one then thats their deomcratic right, but they cant say Peter was one. From the bible one cant even say Peter visited Rome.

If he is following Christ he is saved and a member of the church regardless what he thinks about ringing bells or smoky rooms.
