Hi members! You're welcome to discuss anything to do with the pets here, play with each other's pets, and other things. One thing that I would request that you do not do is use this forum to ask for blessings so that you can buy food for your pet, since this is a violation of Rule 3.9:

3.9 You will not beg or solicit blessings or reputation points anywhere on the site including in posts and PMs.

Although there is an adoption area where you can place pets, you are welcome to use this area to give your pet to another member - when arrangements have been completed, please post an announcement in your thread and I will close the thread.

Thanks for viewing this and hope you all enjoy this new forum! :)

I really want a pet really badddddddddddd but I don't have enough blessings and I keep giving blessing away. I wonder if somebody wants to get rid of their pet If I could get it for free, or if somebody want to give me a pet as a present, I like all of them. But I agree they should look more real.

Pets can be helpful in REAL life but not cyber life.

Hey 3rddayfan this pet thing probably is "pointless"...but the imaginitive side isnt.
And if you find that pointless maybe you should leave this site...all forums are pointless in a particular way...the same with EVERYTHING.

I think the pets are great. I love my pet frog, Nate, and I love taking care of him. It teaches responsibility especially to the younger members (believe it or not) because you have to feed it everyday or it looses health and could die. I know it is only a cyber pet but...
I look forward to his growth. I am anxiously awaiting the day he grows legs.

so how do we look after our pets?

like ive noticed that there is a pet store and vetinarian - how cute - but how do we use these things?

i bought a little toy 4 my puppy to play with from the store - but does the puppy actually use it?

when do i feed him?

when does he need to go to the vet?

will i be able to see when he is sick or hungry?

if the pet's hunger is at 0% is that good or bad?

thanks so much for answering all my Qs! Im new to having a pet so I'd like to look after him properly so he doesn't die. :)

I a christian indian and I do mot (mo=no) kmow what to do .Can you help me?Oh and how meens hi.Hi Loudmouthchristian! You do not use the blessing feature to feed your own pet. Use it when you want to be kind and feed somebody else's pet. To feed your pet, click on her and then click pet controls. Then click pet food store and purchase food according to her hunger needs. Dogs will eat dog food, dog treats, dog biscuits, millk, vegetarian pet food, and chicken. After you have purchased food, click pet inventory, then click Use beside the items you would like to feed her and you should see her hunger level decrease.

Interesting. So you can't play with your own pet? I wish that playing with pets was a little more interactive than clicking a button (I played with your pet a few times).

It also looks like keeping a pet is really expensive! I should probably wait a while before I get one.

Hey, I remember someone saying that pets were dying because too many people saw them. I didn't understand any of that while reading the FAQ. Could someone explain that?

Thanks!

beehoney

Interesting. So you can't play with your own pet? I wish that playing with pets was a little more interactive than clicking a button (I played with your pet a few times). You can increase own your pet's pleasure level by buying it toys. The pets are interactive, but if the pleasure level is at 100% it won't do anything more when you play with it.

It also looks like keeping a pet is really expensive! I should probably wait a while before I get one. That's not a bad idea. Getting a pet too soon is a common mistake people make.

Hey, I remember someone saying that pets were dying because too many people saw them. I didn't understand any of that while reading the FAQ. Could someone explain that?

I don't understand what that means.

ovjumper
8th May 2006, 10:21 PM
So for pets that are not fully content, playing with them is more than a click of a button? What does it do? Could you describe some of the games they play?

I'm vicariously trying to pretend like I have a pet.

bluedragonfly73
8th May 2006, 11:18 PM
well when you play with them all you do is click on a button or you can buy a toy or pillow and blessed them with them and that raises there pleasure

Hi,

A couple more questions about pets. First, what does the vet do? Does your pet get sick randomly? Also, is there any change for your pet between the baby stage and the teen stage other than losing the diaper?

CFpetRESCUER9
9th May 2006, 10:38 AM
You can see how the pet grows under the pet growth section under CF pets. Your pet gets sick if you don't feed it and if it doesn't get played with or anything. I never heard of a virtual vet but I am sure they just nurse the pets back to health like a regular vet. Lily00:angel:

I got it by left clicking on a pet, copying the properties address and then going to that address. Even few numbers or so, from 1 to 100 I guess, the expression will change - just change the number at the end of the address to see different expressions. There may be an easier way to see them all, but I think this way works.

Hi Borris,

I was able to see a few more of the expressions in the emergency pets forum. Do you know which numbers give which expressions?Sorry, no. There may still be a way to 'run through' them - there certainly used to be but I have forgotten how. It was listed in an early CF Pet Forum thread before all the lastest updates, but maybe It's still there somewhere?

Here's the official word from Carmi in an old thread:

"http://www3.christianforums.com/imag...appiness/0.gif (http://www3.christianforums.com/images/petz/happiness/0.gif)

If you change the number before .gif (/1.gif - /10.gif etc. etc. until /100.gif), it's like a cartoon revival of a pet."

But it appears some of the numbers from 1-100 no longer 'work'.

There is a few horses awailable, check the Pet parade thread please.
you will need 100 blessings a week to keep the pet happy,if you donate just $5,you will receive 5000 blessings,or you can always join games to earn blessings faster

I was wondering where to go to donate blessings to CF Pets, not a particular pet, but in general? Where do you need them most? Although I am a "cat person", I like to have it used for those in most need? I love animals and try to support them in real life and would like to do so here as well.

Although there is an adoption area where you can place pets, you are welcome to use this area to give your pet to another member - when arrangements have been completed, please post an announcement in your thread and I will close the thread.

HI All,

Im fairly new here! I adopted a CF pet dog called Skipper 3 days ago - the same name as my real life dog! He has 0% hunger, and 100% everything else? Is that ok? How often do I feed him? Is once a day enough and do I give him a healthy serving or a large serving and are treats ok?

Am I allowed adopt a second CF pet? Its just Id really Love a cat!!

Talk 2 u all soon,

God bless u,

Lorna

Congratulations on Skipper. No you can only own one pet at a time. You can feed Skipper chicken, dog food or biscuit treats or milk. 0% hunger and 100% pleasure and happiness equal 100% good health. We are here to help. Anyway we can help please let us know. bfly

Thanks a lot! Im delighted to know that he's happy and well looked after enough. How often do I need to feed him? And how much do I give him? A healthy serving or a large serving and PS I would love to be a pet worker! How do I become one?

God bless,

Jesus & Animal lover,

Lorna xx :)

:) normally the pets hunger increases by 1% per hour...so if you give him a chicken a day he will be well cared for (you can also give him 2 every second day of course :))

if you can't get online for a few days in a rw it's best to place your pet in day care - costs 12 blessings per day and has to be prepaid....the pet won't get hungrier there :)

for becoming a petRESCUER just pm cffosterAngel6

Hi

I would like to have a fund raiser for CF Pet care. My idea is to start a thread below, selling certain of my armour items at a discount but all proceeds to go to CF Pet Rescuers. Which account should I deposit the blessings into?

I thought I would hold the sale on this forum, but put a link in my signature.

Thoughts?

I work on it. It might not be for a week or two. I have to leave for work right now and last night I fell into bed as soon as I was done.
