The How-To Book of the Mass: Everything You Need to Know but No One Ever Taught You
by Michael Dubruiel

I refer to this one, in my mind at Mass quite often. It really has made the Mass historically understandable.

5 Stars on the Amazon review list and great summaries, so check them out.

It's odd that the used copies are selling for about the same price as the new ones.

This is a good book for a beginner or someone looking into Catholicism. It explains many things is plain terminology.

The downside is if you're already pretty well-read, this book may be over-simplified.

I have a copy and offer it to any new Catholic or re-dedicating Catholic who would like to become familiar with the mass!
